Thank you.
I saw that you mentioned the fact that you served with those guys. Thank you for your service to our nation. I would love to hear any stories you would share. I think the more that people hear about guys like these the better.
I cant say a lot about stories because of classification of missions, but I will talk about what I can. I have served with SEALS, Green Berets, Rangers and British SAS. All SF, Although partial to the NAVY, are great people, very dedicated, as you can see, and are faced all the time with choices of life or death. If you do research on SO1 Luttrell you will see what decision he had to make.
The biggest thing for me as well as most troops in Afghanistan and Iraq, is to get the support from the people at home. I just left Iraq last month after being over there for a year. My initial tour was 6 months but decided to stay an extra year.
I flew back into DFW airport with the team that I was with, and we were greated by hundreds of people. People offering us cell phones to call our families, food, rides to places if we needed them. Just there, taking a day off of work to come see us come back from Iraq. It was overwhelming. I had a little boy about 5 years old come up and hug me and tell me I was his hero. He even saluted me. My whole team and I almost started crying.
I see so many times on here how bad we are pertrayed in the media, how bad we treat people, and then we have protesters against us. Because of people like Marc Luttrell, he made a decision, be that it was the right decision, because Americans do not kill inocent people, it cost 19 Special Forces soldiers their life. Then on the news the stories always get turned around and fired back at us. There is a signature line on here, I forget who has it, but it Says, put your heart into America, or get your ass out.
That is very true. I really wish I could get into other stories, but I just cannot, and I am sorry for that.
Craig, JCIN, SMOKEY, I want to thank you for your support, Craig for your service. I wish there were more people like you in this world. It would definately make it a better place.
