Hope this is in the right forum. If not please excuse.

Here's some pics (not my photos, and don't have the cue as yet), of this cue.
First I thought Adam. Slight chance maybe a Palmer custom. (Slight)

Anyone have a good idea? Thanks in advance for your expertise. :)

Looks to be early 60's, when two tone wraps were popular. How about a close-up of the joint (with pin) and the bumper.

Wish I could get you a photo, but the cue is en route to me. I bought it on ebay for a good price. ($10.00) That's T-E-N. ;)

When I get it I will surely post good closeups.
Thanks.

Ten bucks:eek: . If it's not worth a lot more tell someone you'll put up your two-piece against them in a $50 set. Johnnyt

It appears that the shaft may be Ramin wood. If so, it's probaly a Mits (made in Tiawan special). If that's the case, you paid about F-I-V-E too much.

Sorry

I agree. Only, I'd say about nine too much.

Ramin wood with mother of pearl inlays??

Educate me, how from a blurry picture, can you tell it's a Ramin wood shaft?

Is there any reason to think that the shaft in the pic is original? The rings don't match...

True...the shaft doesn't match the cue...but its not a good sign if it, with the pin in the shaft, does fit the butt. When you've seen enough of those horrid shafts they are easy to spot. Dark golden wood with darker brown grain lines...and most all have the pin in the shaft as well. Pretty clear even with the bad pic.;) Run down to Walmart or Sears & compare.
Of course I could be wrong & its actually the very 1st Balabushka.

Maybe the same way you can tell those inlays are mother of pearl and not plastic?

Is that blurry pic the one the seller used on fleabay?

The dots are plastic that vaugely resemble mother of pearl.

As KV stated, there are many tip offs that identify this cue.

BTW - The butt is almost certainly also Rammin, When stained
it looks a bit like Rosewood.
