*** Name that Pool Hall contest ***

Lets see since Oklahoma is famous for CHUCK NORRIS and Will Rogers and growing Wheat.

Wheat billiards...nevermind out of the question

Norris's Nine-Ball..I dare you not to come in

Will Roger's Room..his quote “When the Oakies left Oklahoma and moved to California, it raised the I.Q. of both states.”

Chuck Norris billiards

Wouldnt that be scary if Chuck played pool....

For those of you who may not know, the game One-Pocket, originally called "Corners" was founded in OK in the 1930's. I think any name with history in it is a nice one.

I would call it:
Corners

That's a great one! Trademark it ASAP.

"Filthy McNasty's - a Family Pool Center"

Show me the money! <----- this is not a name suggestion; I want that $50.00 right now!:grin-square::grin:

Best,
Brian kc

P.S. Me thinks ftgokie is a smart man because it would have cost at least $100 for him to hire a Madison Ave firm to come up with this many suggestions...

I've been reading through the posts and I see that you're up against it, as far as a name goes, so I went back to the Advertising and Promotions Department, here at Steamer Cue Sports Ltd. and told them to get there collective butts in gear and come up with something you could use, and they did.
Try this on for size. "LEGENDS"
With pictures and posters hanging on the walls depicting old time pool players, current men and women pro players, antique advertising, etc., the place would have to be a hit. :)

P.S. One of the team members, kind of a hippy looking guy, said if you wanted to be more modern you could spell "LEDGENZ" with a Z.
I fired him on the spot.

You know, I always liked old Sally, bless her heart, but when she up and developed chronic explosive diarreah, it pretty much ended her career. :D

Name the Room

I like "LEGENDS" a lot and photos of the great players over the years.

If it was me, I would name it "American Legends" and stick with players of our Country's great history of pool.

Sincerely Good Luck with your room. I hope that you will be serving good food. I would think that would be very important being that you are not serving Beer.
What type of tables are you going to have?

The Roll
Bangers
Short Stops
Runout Billiards
Rattle & Roll Billiards
Crosside

^Whoever said Chuck Norris that cracked me up. Think of the endless possiblities of sub titles:thumbup:

Why don't you narrow it down to your favorite top 5, explain why, and do a poll?

Chris

Hey Ftgokie, are you old enough to remember the Brass Rail in the Muskogee Hotel? Before I moved to Muskogee I visited family here in 1982and went there to the Brass Rail. It was filled with action and road players.
We could use another Brass Rail here. There was a door man out front. You had to ring a bell to get in and even then a lady had to be escoted inside. So the door man would escort you in if you were alone. Oh ya and bring your own bottle. My vote Bass Rail if I am not too late.
