The first step to being able to fix your bad habits is the ability to identify them. I thought it would be interesting to hear everyones' most common bad habits that always seem to creep back when you're not paying attention.
I'll start.
1. Twisting my wrist on the execution stroke. When I'm in stroke I don't really get this, when I'm playing poorly I can't seem to get rid of it.
2. Getting lazy in my stance. When I am down on the table sometimes my head is turned a little to the side, instead of having my chin over my cue. This has been a bad habit of mine for a long time. I see the line of aim wrong with my head cocked sideways.
3. Tightening up. Sometimes when I start to feel pressure in a match, I start to grip my cue tightly, and take shorter and jabbier pratice strokes. This has a huge negative effect on my game. The times that I am under pressure, but I am able to stay loose and smooth, that's usually when I hit my highest gear (not very often).
