I bought a box a while ago, used a piece for about 5 mins then went back to masters, too soft and far too messy.
in the 60's i would only play with National chalk - only chalk i wouldn't miscue with when froze on rail(playing with level cue) - at some point only Master chalk would allow me to shoot this way - a friend of mine in billiards supplies was amazed that i had folowed the chalk through a name change - National had moved to Macon GA and Master was now produced in "my kind of town" He told me that silicon sand is the main ingredient of cue chalk and Chicago is near the world's best supply - from then on he only stocked chalk from Tweeten - i remain loyal to this brand today;i have found nothing better - (would love a response from Tweeten Fibre for confirmation)
Anybody know anything about Magic Chalk, from Russia??? There's some for sale in the For Sale forum.

Over all the years of shooting I really don't remember using it. Can someone please tell me how they like it compaired to Masters.. Thanks
I have a few pieces you could try out, if you would like. Just pay shipping.
masters pre USA flag is the best chalk i have ever used the newer version which is still pretty good but it doesn't compare to the old school stuff NTC ranks 3rd
I used to use Master but found Triangle to be better. Slightly harder with more of a grit that I feel gets into the tip better. I got it here last time ...
