Need feedback from Houston players about the possibility of Houston Club!!!

I am exploring the idea of opening a club much like the New York Cue Club. The first thing to do is to try to determine if there is enough of a demand for it. To this end I need Houston players to not only complete this short survey but get all their friends who might be interested to do the same. Thanks!

Not a Houstonian but i have a question: Houston is lucky in that it has quite a few good rooms. That being said do you think there is a need/want for a private membership spot? I see the survey but what is your take? Would enough players go for this to make it doable?

While there are many rooms none provide an experience like NYC Cue Club. This room is less about loud music, distracting screens, drinking, poorly maintained equipment and more about getting better at pool.

Just chek'd it out. Helluva spot. I guess $300/mo is fadeable in NYC but that's pretty stout for other places. I'd have to be making serious dough to budget 300/mo on a pool membership. In Tulsa i could play for 3mos for 300bux.

The best ways is for it to be spread around by individuals. If f I don’t get many responses that will tell me what I need to know.

A pool room with no music, no blaring cell phones, and no vapers? Sounds like heaven.

For the most part Texas rooms suck. Way too many 8' tables, not enough 9' tables. Yes, the bar boxes and leagues pay the bills, but I see more people want to play on the big tables that don't care for leagues. I don't live in Houston but I'll be wishing you the best.

24/7 or Hours?
Staffing?
How?
Amenities?
Security -- inside and out?
Please outline your anticipated operation?

Potential subscribers -- what are your expectations?

You are asking if I would buy in, and my reply is, "Sure". When it comes to what price I would pay, I have to know, "What do I get for my money?" A sliding scale comes into play.

the 8fts are mostly out, bogies west is an exception because it would take a monumental investment to replace 26 tables

theres less than a handful at bogies east
big tyme has none

the real spots dont have them much at all
clicks is the strange exception to invest so large in 8ft diamonds

where as all fast eddies in texas have gotten rid of 8fts for 7ft diamonds

racks and stacks all predator 7fts as is shooters in waco
king louie`s in lubbuck all 7ft diamonds

903 billiards in longview all 7ft diamonds

rydas action spot in sa is 7 and 9fts
never been to banana billiards but i know they have 7ft diamonds and most likely 9fts

speeds arlington all diamond 7fts
stix and stones all 7 & 9 ft diamonds

theres tons of bar table action and lots of tournaments with decent payouts

edit, also now several woody`s hideaways opening up all with 15-20 7ft diamonds also

Big Tyme has six 9’ tables
Bogies east has a good amount of 9’ tables, one is a red label.
I’ve played at Bananas but I don’t remember how many 9’ tables they have.
Stix and Stones has four or five 9’ tables.

I probably should have said, way too many 7 & 8 foot tables.
