At approximately 400-grit, the StewMac Sharkskin Metal Sanding Sheets can be cut into custom shapes and sizes.www.stewmac.com
400 is saferI rarely scuff my tip but when I do it is a small square of #200 sandpaper glued to a piece of scrap wood. It doesn't bother me if it gets left at the PH.
220 Grit Sandpaper is all you need.I rarely scuff my tip but when I do it is a small square of #200 sandpaper glued to a piece of scrap wood. It doesn't bother me if it gets left at the PH.
I do not see point of gluing to board.Wow, you can buy a two pack of Sharkskin for $18.50. From the size you can cut each in two, then glue them to a wood board. Presto you have four Kamui like scuffers for half the price of one. Kind of like chalk.
Having a rigid backing makes it very easy to use aka 'rolling' the tip across it. Plus this stuff will literally last FOREVER. If you just want to buy one already made: https://www.ebay.com/itm/Red-Pool-C...d=link&campid=5335988529&toolid=20001&mkevt=1 I got one and it works perfect.I do not see point of gluing to board.
I keep 220 sand paper in coin holder, when it use up I replace with another 2” x 2” piece
not sure i should say
you are welcome

I used to be an OCD over scuffer..... i have since been reformed by finding the right tips. I haven't scuffed but thrice in as many years.
