hey fellow az'ers,
would like to get some feedback on a freind of mines cue.
he says it was from the 60's.the pin is a 5/16x18 pin and
none of the white is ivory.it's got ebony inlays in the forearm
and it's got a plastic theaded insert in the shaft.
thats all i really know about it.here are some pics.
thanks everyone.

Great looking piece! Has some old Viking qualities to it, but who used the nylon shaft insert back then?

ID cue

Nice looking cue. I'd guess it's an Adams cue. Or a slick Rubino retro.

i was thinking viking also. they had a lot of cues with that same type of butt dot design but most of them had points with the dots also.

It looks like a viking or a gandy. but its odd that its got that nylon insert. anyone could install one, but huebler and slade are the only ones i know of, that did it on all their cues.

Mystery cue

Could it be an early Meucci when he worked with Paul Huebler. The butt cap and bumper resemble the early Hubbart line of cues by Meucci. It looks newer than the 60's, more like 70's, possibly reconditioned by Heubler if it were built in the 60's. Is it for sale?

I would have said the same thing but, they were using a Brass Pin during the time they worked together. They also both used a Brass pin into the 1980's when Meucci changed to Stainless Steel. But who knows the pin may have been replaced!!!

I recently repaired and refinished an old Huebler / Meucci cue here are some pictures.

Before Photo's, you can the Brass Pin and Nylon insert!!

yes,i see what you mean.i'm leaning more toward your thought.
the shaft insert looks dead balls on and so does the rubber bumper
on the early ones and the fact theres no ivory in the cue.
great work on that cue, looks great!!!!!

I believe its a rosewood Rich Q, circa 1969-72.
