My friends brother died and left him a JossWest..It looks pretty old...It doesn't have a rubber bumper...It was made that way..4 pointer...Has some major dings but not in shaft...
Any one know anything ? I'm not up on Joss Wests...

What could be the year made and possible value?

Any chance you could include some pics?

Need to see how it's signed Bill changed the JW threw the years I think 4 times.
It shouldn't be hard if you put a picture of it up.

You really need to put a picture up. Bill did do, for example, some sneaky pete-like cues in the late 70s, but they had full joints with collars. Hard to tell what you have without pictures.

All the best,
WW

Really need pics, as was said.

Besides...we kind of work for cool pool cue pictures. :o:p:grin:;):D

O.K. I figured you'd ask for pictures...I'll have to contact him and take some pictures....

This should identify a Joss West and the era.

This is a JW that I called Limited Production.

I was designed for pool rooms to resell.

This particular cue is BE Maple and Madagascar Rosewood.

It was designed without a rubber bumper.

pt109...That's not totally correct. My custom designed JW, which was made for my 30th BD in 1983, still had the 'flying JW' you show in the first picture. Maybe some JW cues 1980-1983 had the logo you showed...but not mine. Bill might remember my cue...it was a box cue, BEM with ivory boxes outlined with veneers and MOP dots. It was the first cue he made after he switched to CNC.
