I was thinking 2200.00-2500.00. JW seems to be going up in price as of late and this one is in fantastic condition.

1400 to 1600

I don't see these cues getting anything more than that the way things are.
Put it on ebay at 1500 and let her rip...you'll see the value.

I think you are closer to sale value....I am guessing if an offer over 1400 was given you should sell it..but I think it would be 1200-1400 tops..

Collectible cue for sure. In this condition, I would put it in the 1,500-2,000 range.

Got 2 original shafts which was not always the case back then AND is unplayed so I'd say "value" at 2.5k. If it were mine it wouldn't be for sale....

This cue SOLD for 2k-ish and is constructed the same way as the OP's EXCEPT the OP's is UNPLAYED, NEVER HIT, ETC... That makes it VERY rare and a big deal to a collector. I wish I could buy it :(

The eBay example is also significantly older.

I've bought and sold 3 Joss West cues.....the low end value is $1650.......top end value $2100......figure $1800 range is a good deal for the buyer and seller.

Thanks for all of the input guys. He bought the cue back in the '90s. He's kept it in a gun safe since. Climate controlled, never really messed with. I've known him almost 20 years and never seen it myself. It's really a time capsule. He's considering selling it, he just doesn't know yet. He doesn't do AZ, if you want to make an offer I'll pass it along. Who knows. Thanks again.

How much older do you think it is? Both cues are constructed the same. Both have inlaid points not short splice so I would think the unplayed factor weighs very heavy on price.. At least it's worth more than the Ebsy cue just for that reason alone.. How much? That's yet to be determined..

Several years back this model was selling for $2500.

I agree with the group, to me it is a 1500-2000 cue. The reason I wouldn't want it is that it is a "catalog" cue and there are MANY like it. I prefer the older JW that are a little different than what was offered in flyer.

This is a fair estimate of value, but with the cue being un-played and with 2 shafts there is significant potential upside in value. I sure would NOT sell this un-played cue for only $1500. If it is un-played, great, if it is un-played since being refinished, that is not the same as original and un-played.

I am sure you know that refinished like new is great, but not the worth the same as excellent original, un-played condition. Just like a vintage muscle car in low miles original condition vs. restored.

Overall, I would see the cue as $2k (or a few hundred more) if never played. Nice cue.
