NEED info on WHITE DIAMOND TIPS

i was looking into new tips and i stumbled upon white diamond tips. I am looking to use the on my jump cue as they advertise. had anyone used one or have a good or bad review on them to pursuade me to buy it or not? thank a lot, i am always up for trying something new, younever know but i wanted to ask first, thank you very much.

installed 12 or so
no complaints yet
i have one on my personal jumpbreak
they hold chalk well
seem to stay on longer also
i had some problems with the bunjee tips popping off and splitting in half or big chunks coming out of the sides of them​

I have one on my jump cue and on my break cue. I would use nothing else.
 
I agree with everyone else. My son has one on his custom Reeves jump- break, and it plays super. Holds chalk, jumps easily, even with the full cue. I don't think he has mis-cued since he got the tip. I also agree that you should have a cue repair specialist install it.

I started a thread last week looking for recomendations for a good B/J tip and Hustl3r sent me a link to a e-bay auction for 3 of the White Diamond tips for 13mm. They were $13.00 shipped, the guy Joe Picone ships super fast. I recieved them Thursday, dropped them off with 3 shafts to my Cue repairman on Saturday and they were done Sunday.

They Break great, just what I was looking for, and they Jump very easy.
Cross table or "Short Jumps" Dart style were as easy as can be. They get the Ball up real fast.

10 bucks each to install with pads, total cost of the project $43.00.

Here is a pic of what they look like installed.

Kevin...I am sure you have some comments/comparisons regarding the White Diamond tips to your canvas resin tips. I'd like to hear them.

i bought one recently and dont see any diference between that and the natural canvis phenolic that i have been using.....dont see the hype here,

No Hype,
I was just looking to make my Sterling B/J and my Cuetec 99296 B/J perform as well as my Stealth AT-1 without spending a small fortune.
43 bucks later, I have done what I set out to do, with the help of my fellow A-Z members.

I only purchased 3 of the Tips so my other Cuetec B/J shaft still has the original Hard tip that came on it, cause I liked the way it broke and long jumped, just could not get enough performance out of it on "Dart Style" jumps.

I personally love them, they hit hard, jump easily, and hold chalk very well, that's about all I can ask for.

I recently purchased a new J/B that came with a phenolic, I must say, it's going to my repair man today to get a diamond put on. Not that there is anything wrong with phenolic's, but in my opinon the white diamonds just have a little more "edge".

So in the end, no complaints here, no hype, they turned out to be just what I was looking for.

I have had quite a few people tell me it is time to get a new tip and I just kind of laugh and say I don't think so. lol In my pool hall and all of the local tourneys I play here in Phoenix I am the only one that has one. Lucky me.

I still have the original Tip that came on my Stealth AT-1. Can you tell the difference with the White Diamond on it?:)

The White Diamond tips are pretty much the same as Aegis. Back in 99 when I started experimenting with non leather tips...one of the first things I tried was a solid piece of Aegis, JB Coldwelded onto a fiber ferrule. Worked great...until Janis outlawed all "white" Varney tips on his tour. They worked fine. The new canvas-resin I use just grips the ball a better and holds chalk much better. As for those who complain about phenolics...they are a thing of the past. Phenolic tips or tip/ferrules will often crack/break and are hard to control the cueball with. One company who mass produces j/b cues with them has had so many cracking problems that they quit using the phen. and are now trying a carbon-fiber type.
I have NEVER seen a canvas-resin tip that ever had one single problem...so the choice what to use on Varney cues is pretty clear for me. ;)

I can tell the difference. The white diamond is much much harder and really pops the cue ball up fast. I have had no problem jumping close full ball jumps with almost no effort. I have also been able to get some really nice backspin. The biggest difference I see is the effort that goes into jumping. It just makes it easy. My wife has the stinger and I prefer mine any day of the week.

I have one on my jump break, it is awesome. I get better action with that tip than I have w/ anything I have ever played w/. I would highly recommend one.
