Hello,

I am in the market for a 9' table and I have several questions:

1) How much should I expect cost for pickup and transportation from location A to B of 16 miles? Location A is a business, Location B is a residence.
2) How much should I expect cost of setup and installation to be at the residence?
3) Recommendations on rails, felt, and pocket setup? I am currently a decent B player, looking to make an effort to be a solid A.

Table is a GC III Black/Nickel. Looking for recommendation of a table mechanic in the Southern Los Angeles County / Northern Orange County area or willing to provide service in these area.

Much thanks in advance!

I would be happy to work for you. It would probably be best to contact me by phone or email and let me know exactly what you want.

IMO, only 1 choice, Donny (sdbilliards).

There's another mechanic in the same area as Donny?...not hardly, Donny IS the mechanic for the area...period.

WHAT THEY SAID. :thumbup2: Donny just set up my GC4 and the table was not without issues. Came out perfect. He tightened the pockets by extending the subrails (not shimmed) and every single pocket measured EXACTLY the same. Seriously, not one pocket was off even a 1/16th from the others and all angles perfectly cut.

I went with Simonis 860HR, most will go with that or the regular 860. I also went with the Artemis Intercontinental #66 cushions. They are significantly more expensive than the Brunswick Superspeeds but are a higher quality cushion and I'm told much longer lasting.

As far as pocket size goes, you will get a bunch of opinions, but I went with 4 1/4" and think it was the perfect choice. Any smaller and you can forget about playing straight pool on it but still plenty tight for rotation games and 1 hole.

PM me with your phone number if you'd like to talk more about it.

In the meantime, call Donny. Seriously.

Donny, SD's Billiards Service, completed the Brunswick GC3 assembly and install flawlessly! Everything came out great! Table plays perfect! I am very pleased with the results! Thank you!

You may not know the rules here - pictures are required.

Survey says....Donny!

And to conclude this meeting of minds..... Call Donny! I wouldn't think of sending anyone to anywhere else out there for a call like this.
He's gotcha covered:wink:
