you do have some very nice equipment posted here, sir.

and as the good Doc said, what info you looking for?

Charles Kimmel wrote the inscriptions on cues from this era. He was a PGA scoreboard calligrapher. His writing on cues does not meant these are inherently Rambows. People could order inscribed cues no matter the maker. Rambow was in charge of many people building cues about the time he was doing customs. These cues lack features of his custom work.

That said they are all fantastic. I especially like the older fue with the mop nameplate. What is written on that inscription?

Love to see these old Rambow cues. The ebony spliced shaft is cool. What's on the nameplate on the Brunswick...Looks to be inscribed. Anyhow I have to say...nice collection of cue history. Matt D.

You'll get a minimum of $1000 a piece on the top inscribed Willie Hoppe cues. Probably much more. I'm a very interested buyer on the 'Chick' cue. Please send me a PM with contact information and I will be glad to help you.

Condition is make or break on the value of these older cues and I can show you what to look for and document.

I was hoping both would be Rambows, I'm new at this and trying complete 3 catalogs of Palmer cues and finish up obligation to estate. Have other old cues that are not Palmers.

I dont think either is a Rambow. I read somewhere Brunswick was personalizing cues before Rambow started doing it and he also was part of their operation later and this was commonly done to the cues when requested....

Surprised no one has mentioned anything about the last cue being made for Babe Didrikson. One of the most famous women athletes of all time.

Here are some other ones sitting around.

Blew my mind. Could you imagine documentation showing that cue was given to her?

OP needs to keep digging on that cue. We could be talking museum piece.

In Texas about 20 years ago I was at a elderly womans house that was full of golf trophies. There were many old black and white pictures of female golfers. So I inquired if she was the champion golfer? Her reply was ,yes she had been quite the golfer. I asked if she still played? She answered she quit many years ago because of Babe Didrickson. I asked who was that? I got a earfull of what a tremendous athlete she was. Seems the lady had played golf against Babe . She had beaten Babe, but Babe still got all the publicity, both good and bad.
Pressure from her family caused her to quit competitive golf.
She said she lost all intetest in golf and hadnt played since 1940.
She said no one in her family was interested in her memoirs and she would probably just donate everything to the Texas Golf Association if they would even have it.
Sad to listen to the disappointment in her voice which still resonated strongly decades later. I was sorry I asked.

So details man....
Where did you get these from and are any for sale?

Any other treasures in the attic?

Searching her name she was amazing. Ran track and field in 1932 Olympics, tennis, golf, basketball, billiards, baseball. A few books and movies about her too. She had a golf club line .

The world's greatest female athelete.

Babe Didrikson was such a great athlete in several sports that she was accused of being a man in disguise.
