Need steady rest, ?

TW has just been a nasty person on this forum and we would be better off with out his kind. He prevents people from sharing for fear of being attacked and belittled by him....

Not sure if you understand correctly or not, but when TW posts he provides more information than anyone else towards making cues properly. If anyone is afraid to post information because they're afraid of TW ripping apart their statement. Well guess what, if TW can dissect their statement to show where they're wrong. Then they are wrong and are afraid of getting called out for being wrong. It's not TW they're afraid of, it's the truth. You should know what it's like having people jump on you for being wrong. Are you more afraid of TW than the pack mentality of the forum?

I see Thomas has been banned.
I am not happy to see him banned, but the tone of this and other threads were asking for it. I for one would like to see Thomas keep posting on here.
I would like to share some facts with the forum:

Thomas has helped me behind the sceens on occasion through the years. He has been fairly open with sharing information. He has nothing to gain by being on this forum. He already sells all the cues he makes. We have a lot to gain by him being on this forum. Yes he can be over the top with some comments, but as Proverbs says, "Where there is no fuel the fire goes out."

I suggest that we all put the egos aside, and not take the bait to fight with him when he posts something that might rub you the wrong way. Thomas was not the youngest living member inducted into the International Cue Makers Hall of Fame for nothing. He is artistically far above everyone of us when it comes to inlay work. He is one of the best cuemakers in the world period. Yes he knows those facts also and can come across a little brash at times. But if we just let it slide and let him share useful information with us, even though sometimes done with too much sarcasm, instead of feeling the need to straighten him out about his attitude we could all learn something. And I bet that you would see the sarcasm decrease and we could all get along.

Chris,

I agree that TW is someone we want on the forum as he brings tons of insight as he has been doing this for over 30 years. As for his cues he has been doing in the last 5 years, they are awesome and put him in a zone of his own.

I hope he continues to post after his hiatus.

Moderators here are pretty fair but they tow the line when it comes to swear words.

So to TW, we hope you come back as your opinions and comments will be missed.

Yeah he is a pain in the rear sometimes but 95% of his writings are very correct. It is some of his opinions that get a little sticky sometimes. But that's what makes everybody different as we all are different characters.

JMO,

Rick

TW can be abrasive .
But, I'd rather have an abrasive truth-teller than a goodie-goodie bulls shitter.

I agree with the statements about what Mr Wayne brings to the table here on the forum. But disagree with the feelings that his obnoxious behavior should be allowed to slide because of it. No one should be allowed to disregard the rules here, and the warnings of the owner of this forum, solely due to his talents and 'Celebrity' status. Think about the movie stars and sports players....
Also, TW's assumptions of the OP turned out to be wrong, and therefore an apology was warranted, IMO.
Putting up with someone's quirks are one thing, We all have them and can rub people the wrong way at times. When pointed out most people apologize and try to move forward. Hopefully, if TW comes back, he will be a kinder, gentler, TW.
If not, it will be what it will be.

You may be right...... but that doesn't give leeway to be a nasty bastard to most people.............

I for one am glad he is gone and if he never came back it would be too soon..........

While I agree with what you say I will also point out that he essentially chased off the OP. Letting that slide is wrong IMO and is why I responded to him.
