NEW Bulletproof Synthetic Playing Tips.

Got the medium mounted and ready to test hit.
I do my tips by hand and they don't look as nice as lathe mounted, but ala it hits well, who cares. 😂
Have you played already with the RECOIL medium? How is your impression?

I have tested yesterday the RECOIL medium on my IQ infinity shaft + Predator SP butt (8-pointer). The RECOIL medium really feels and sounds like a good medium tip. Very consistent feel, no negative issues. Just about the spin potentail I'm not yet fully clear about, I'll have to play another session with it. All in all up to now: a great innovation to me!!!!!

I was having excellent results with the green hard Recoil on my Revo but it was leaving a lot of marks (Taom V10) on my cue ball (Aramith Tournament) at home. Some of the marks were extremely difficult to remove. So, I went back to the Ultraskin hard black while I re-think the Recoil. Might try the medium Recoil again to see if that leaves marks. If I only played at pool halls I would have stayed with the hard Recoil.

Do you think the marks were V10-chalk? If so, could it be that this tip needs less chalk than leather tips?

No, definitely not. I've been using the V10 chalk for about six months now with very hard leather tips and it's always been clean with the occasional chalk mark that wiped off very easily. What's baffling is that I've been breaking with a BK Rush with a White Diamond tip and that wouldn't leave V10 chalk marks, maybe once every ten breaks or so. But they were light marks that easily wiped off. I could not figure out why the hard green Recoil was leaving such impacted chalk marks that had to be vigorously rubbed off. I really liked the whole idea of the synthetic playing tip and the way it played but I also am a little OCD about my equipment, especially the expensive stuff. When I get around to it I'm going to try the Recoil medium and see if that leaves chalk marks or not.

I had someone come into my shop that used V10 chalk saying the same thing about a Kamui tip we had just installed and as soon as I chalked it with master chalk it did not leave marks. He took out the V10 from his bag and it left marks on the ball. If you are using the same piece of V10 on other tips and it doesn't leave marks try another brand of chalk with the Recoil tip and let us know what happens. There are several others on AZ forum that are using it without it marking the cueball and I use the green tip everyday with master chalk and have never had an issue. 🤷‍♂️

Can I still get a free tip as long as I pay postage?
Thank you for asking this question as I too, was interested. Just now I went to Bulletproof's web site and ordered my free tip. Their site is
bulletproofbreaktips.com. Search under products, locate their RECOIL Soft tip, add it to your cart. Proceed to checkout and it will show the price of $29.95, however, under discount/promo code field you will type in RECOIL, thus changing the price to $0.00 + shipping, which for me was only $4.16 total.
I paid with my credit card and completed my order, effortlessly.
Straight shooting my friend. God bless.

Go green!!👍🏼
Finally got my bulletproof break tip installed!!
Boy this thing transfers power better than the phenolic tip I had on this cue!!
Holds chalk very well. Excellent Tip!!
I got good spreads at less than max power. Was afraid to crank up the dial. Might bust something, like a Cue Ball?? Lol
Seriously tho, these are my new go to's.
I'm replacing all my water Beefalo, lol, with bulletproof tips.
Btw... I install all my tips by hand. I'm sure a professional mount would look better.

The medium performed as expected. Good feedback, solid hit, no shrooming, holds chalk better than leather imo.
Go Red!!

Update, full disclosure; after a couple months, I took the blue tip off. I liked the color, liked that it felt it would last forever - I didn't notice any mushrooming, though I did take a fair bit off when shaping, so it was not as tall as some other installs pictured on here. But I never really got completely used to the feel and just could not draw the ball properly with it. Maybe psychological. Anyway, I put on an elkmaster and felt back to 'normal'.

PS I use V10 and also noticed some chalk impingement(?) on the cue ball. Not too bad but noticeable.

These bulletproof break tips take chalk so much better and easier than that phenolic tip I removed. Never could get that damn thing chalked up to my satisfaction. I broke w no chalk whatsoever on this tip w no problems. Still grabbed the cue ball well.
I've heard of guys only chalking these every few racks. I'm sure you could do that, but I'm a chalk every shot kinda guy.
All in what you're used to I guess. Best break tip I've owned. Period.

Update: I have installed the medium Recoil tip on my Revo (12.4) and it seems to be perfect for me. It draws the same as the hard green recoil tip and the hit is very close to the hard green Recoil tip with a more subdued sound. It compares to a medium-hard leather tip which is perfect for me.
The only noticeable difference between the medium and the hard is when I used them to break. The hard tip had a little more impact than the medium.

I experimented once I got used to the tip and played about 4-5 racks of 8 ball only having chalked once at the beginning, and that tip still has a coating of chalk on it (V-10). And, no chalk marks on my cue ball. It had been suggested that I might have been using too much chalk when I had the hard tip on and that might have just been the case. I'm thinking these Recoil tips might not need as much chalk as their leather counterparts.

My only wish, not a complaint by any means, is that I wish the tip was black instead of red, but only for aesthetic reasons as I can shoot with any color.
I'm again posting kudos to Bulletproof.

Hello! We now have a new synthetic polymer resin playing tip we call Recoil. You can find them on our website and we are offering a FREE soft tip (just pay the shipping cost) for players who want to try them and let us know what you think. Use code RECOIL at checkout on our website. If you'd prefer a Medium or Hard, use code RECOIL50 to get 50% off for the next 10 days. These tips do not flatten, harden, compress, or glaze and play as well as any premium leather market tip! The soft may mushroom slightly if you hit hard but the Medium and Hard will NEVER mushroom or lose their shape! Feel free to call us or post any questions you may have here. We have been playing with wood cues with a piece of leather glued to the end for hundreds of years! Finally, we have carbon fiber shafts that outperform wood and we're excited to be the first to have a replacement for the most inconsistent part of the game. We truly believe this is a literal game-changer!
I couldn't have said it any better!!
My results so far have been identical to yours.
And you are correct in your assumption that the bulletproof tip doesn't need as much chalk as leather. I chalk after every shot. Habit. With these, I'm finding myself not using as many swipes across the top and much less chalk residue on my hands afterwards.
FYI... Black shoe polish or any permanent marker, like a sharpie, will turn the side of your tip blacker than the ace of spades. Lol. Good luck.
