I'm a smoker, but can understand and respect why people would not like to be in a smoke filled enviorment. But with out letting people smoke in doors, it's a proven fact that you will loose business to some degree.
On the other-hand, there are fantastic air filtration systems available. I mean ones that can move over 2000 cubic feet of air in a minute or less with minimal noise! You could basically section off a portion of the hall for smokers with these systems in place and it wouldn't disturb the non-smokers at all. That would prolly be the best solution for a struggling pool halls...
I must add a point here....
Why would any owner invest the thousands of dollars for a quality air filtration system today when the Coercive Control Freaks might make it moot tomorrow?
Ask that place (Chalkers?) in downtown San Franciso at the Linkon (sp) Center that installed a very expensive unit and the next year it was worthless due to the non-smoking rules.
Nevermind, you can't ask them....they're out of business.
