Rusty,

Wow, another great one! The case shape looks great, and the execution looks both flawless and stunning!

And it is going to someone who really enjoys the finest cases. Talk about a win-win!

Congratulations to both of you.

Tooling

I'm down for a road trip to Rusty's place for classes! Hope he has enough room for all of us.

Truely amazing work that you do my friend. Keep those case pics coming.
One question for ya Rusty. How long have you been working with leather and or cue case making? Thanks
Jeff

Hey thanks guys for all of your posts and nice comments!
Tony there are a couple cases out there with pockets, Craig has one and Torqiet has the other. And there are few plain ones I made out there with pockets, but not many.
Jeff, I've been leatherworking around 3 years so I'm pretty new to it. I started carving it about a year and half ago. The first case I sold to Guycrunch in September 08 was my first carving project that I did.
Guy, it's a 2x4 and here's a picture of the interior. It still had a little leather dust in it in the picture.
Rex and King, get in the car and come down. I doubt I can teach you guys much but we could have a blast making something and maybe shoot a little pool too, the table is only about 10 feet from the work bench.
Will, if you want me to make your next on that shape just let me know, I think you would like it.
Thanks again everyone.

Fantastic, as usual, Rusty! It's amazing how far you've progressed in the last couple of years. I'm still working on a design for my Melton case. I'm really looking forward to adding one of yours to my collection.

Best always,

Steve

Rusty,

This is the best one yet. You know that I have never been a fan of the teardrop shape. Yet you have mastered it over these past two years and really made it your own. Then you took on the small form rectangle and did the blind seam and made that your own.

Now, with the oval you have done another fantastic case.

Everything is "right" about how you have done this case and you know what I am talking about and that I look a little deeper than most on this subject.

I believe now is the time for me to say that as far as building a solid case goes you are Chas Clements equal as Craig predicted earlier.

Very very very nice.

thats quite a compliment for Rusty coming from JB and Hunter,I believe Rusty is fantastic,i just wish he would send me more

Thanks John, I know exactly the things you're talking about being right, and it does make a big difference. I was thinking of your advice when I drew the pattern.
Steve, thank you for the compliment. Take your time figuring out what you're wanting me to do on yours, I'm in no hurry.
Dean, Thanks as always for your nice comments. By the way you're not forgotten, I'll be in touch.
Thank you too MOJOE I appreciate it.

Rusty,

I really like this shape. Yes, I would like my next one to be in the oval, like this one, with pouches. Give me a call when you are ready to start, and we can discuss some ideas.

Again, great case!

Take care,

Will
