New Cloth Colors

Apple green looks good in pictures, but I worry it might be a bit bright in real life. I had powder blue on my table when I had one. It's a subtle color that goes well with many interiors and is not harsh on the eyes. They played World Championships on it back in the day:

If I had a mansion with a billiard room, I'd go for Simonis green, every time.

I wouldn't buy Simonis at all. I have been using the Championship 30/30 Tour cloth for years now. It is faster than 860 HR, lasts twice as long and costs less.

I like the Steel Gray-

I am just wondering if my mechanic would be able to get some Simonis 760 in Powder Blue from Europe? It's not available in the states. If he could do that I would go with the 760 Powder Blue on the Gold Crown IV and the 860 Apple Green on the Diamond Professional.

Perhaps I should check with him and the Simonis office up near Chicago.

Most of us have the recovery person order the cloth and install it.

I'd make a new thread with a poll

Should I check with him and the Simonis office up near Chicago?
or
Should I create a new thread asking the forum what to do?
or
Should I scan my own posts about cloth color and speed which there are many of, and use that information?

Call the Simonis North America office in Libertyville, IL and ask to speak to Felice. She is the account manager and handles most of the big accounts for them.

I once asked if Power Blue was available. It is a nice color. She said no, and to get it they would have to dye an entire bolt. $16k worth of cloth.

After watching Forensic Files last night where they sprayed a room looking for signs of blood I think you should pick ..

Luminol Blue

I guess I will end up going with 860 on both. Apple Green on the Diamond Professional and Powder Blue on the Gold Crown IV.

I will just have to keep the dehumidifier running a little more downstairs where the Gold Crown IV is.

Apple... I have a brand new Apple. Has beed sitting. It is pretty/unique if you can handle it. I currently have grey on a black Diamond and the combo is perfect. I'm reluctant to use the Apple but it does appeal to me somewhat. Has anyone used an Apple Green and regretted it?

Here's what it looks like on my Gold Crown IV.

There are 20 different colours of cloth in my very different pool all. I had never had Simonis Apple green before. I find it loud and garish; "English" green is grass green, snooker green and more harmonious.

The table is the Rasson 9' Ironman - the least expensive of their line. The slate fastening and leveling system is better than any traditional system, but not as good as on Rasson's top level: Victory, Ox, Wolf.
