Here are photo's of cues currently being assembled at Full Splice Billiards. All of these conversion cues are being assembled from Antique Brunswick One Piece Cues, one of which was a Brunswick 26 1/2 from the 1920's. All veneers around the rings are wood, and the Brunswick 26 1/2 has a single Ivory ring above the Butt Cap.

Let me know what you all think, I am always trying to improve my techniques and designs.

The cues are as follows:

1) Far Left --- Brazilian Rosewood into a Maple Front, cues butt is Wenge Wood

2) Not Certain maybe some form of Palm Wood Second from the left, Cues butt is Amboya Burl.

3) 3rd cue from the left --- Some type of Mahogany into a Maple Front, cues butt is Macaser Ebony.

4) Brunswick 26 1/2 ---- Purple Heart very strange grain into Maple front, cues butt is Quilted Maple.

Thanks
nice job craig
i have a purpleheart 26 1/2 also, that i'll convert , one of these days

Good looking cues Craig I started to say I like the top cue the best because of the grain of the Rosewood ... But I also like the Ebony one and love Burl ... I also like the look of the work you did on the 26 1/2 cue with the purple heart bet it hits great but would be concerned about it being so small with me being over 6 foot tall...

So I guess I will stick with the top cue as my favorite and cues two and three from the top a close second ...lol... Either way they all look like very nice conversions and I would love to hit with one of your cues one day as you look to be doing a great job ... Keep up the good work ... That is some great looking wood in that Rosewood cue and some very nice Burl in the second cue ... And some nice and fancier ring work in the bottom two but then that may be because you have the joint collars done on those two ...lol ....

Full Splice Cues

That quilted maple looks like a fantastic piece of wood.

It will be something to see with finish applied.

Nice work.

Thanks for everyones suggestions and input. I know these are not fancy, in fact they are very unassuming. But, I think they are traditional in look and that is my intention.

Thanks Again!!!!!
