Amazing cues, but anyone that spends 90 grand on a cue should be locked in a padded room.
the cues are a huge investment! and continue to go up in price every year ( better than stocks!)

I got to see this cue in person. It is truly AMAZING.

I have always had a knack for ebony-ivory cues - and when i saw that $16,500 Arthur cue - WOW!

That's a show stopper alright!

:)

I'll spend that money on better investments ! invest in on the OIL market or diamond industry. you can't go wrong with those 2. the price or worth gets higher without fear of depreciation and maintenance problem.

Says who? If i could go back to 1980 with 90 grand to spend on either oil and diamonds or Balabushkas and Szambotis I'd be coming back with wood. (pun intended)

that's just you. in a logical business sense, after putting up an investment on oil and diamond for merely 5 years, you already made a hefty profit that can buy you enough exotic wood (cues) to build your own house.

You got that right! I'd be grinding up Bushka's and be putting them in my floor because I'd be filthy rich (off the oil and diamond investments). Gas was 90 cents when I graduated high school 1998. Regular here in Bama today was $3.32

Oh, yes you can go wrong...WAY wrong...as has happened numerous times in the past.

People used to think that real estate was a one way market too...but there is no such thing...never has been...never will be.

But in the past two years the Idex Polished Diamond Index has risen only about 6%. Why am I not excited??? (-:

Jim

Maybe it's just not your thing! however that 6% increase is a part of a multi-billion dollar franchise. just think how much that 6% is worth in terms of monetary.

as far as real estate is concerned, it is rather flexible and concerns some factors that could affect it. interest rates, mortgages, loans, you name it. anyway, real estate is still one of the top contenders despite some backdrop recently due to a bit of recession.

about oil, well it's been over a century of investment and had been proven to be the toughest business to beat. better hurry up and sell those new car (oil-free) and power (oil-free) inventions in the market. as long as the world is dependent on oil, you can never go wrong with it, and it has for a long time now.

I don't think that diamonds or oil have appreciated like Bushkas or Szams. However if you had invested that 90gs into Wal Mart stock in 1980.......

The problem i see investing 90k into a pool cue is that even if it goes up, to make any money on it you still have to sell it and that could be hard. Investing in stock is a lot easier to sell, imo.
