Just curious how many would be interested in an AZ meet and greet in the New England area. I went to one about 4 years ago in CT. and there was a good turn out and it was a lot of fun.

I have approached the manager of a large room in central Massachusetts about having one and they were intrigued by the idea but wanted to know specifics so I'm looking to see how much interest there is. The room has 24 GC III 3's as well as a good restaurant. There are also plenty of hotels in the area if anyone would like to spend the weekend.

The idea is the room would be open to all members of the AZ community and their friends. There would be a main open tournament, as well as a second chance tournament, and a separate tournament just for lower handicap players. There will also be plenty of space for dealers and cue makers to show their cues/products. There would be little to no charge for the venders.

If you have any interest in attending please post in this thread so I can get an idea of how many people would like to attend.

I'm definetely interested, but very unlikely to be able to go.

Still, if and when you get it set up, I'd like to know, in the event that somehow I could shake loose and be able to go.

Very cool idea. Hope it flies.
 
Huh I would be interested as well and could probably bring some friends.

Jillian's in Worcester. As much as I would have like to have it at the Billiard Cafe in Ayer, I don't think it's large enough to accommodate a gathering of the size I expect. Also, they lack in food and Jillian's has a very large area in the back for the cue makers/vendors to set up.

The burgers suck at Jillian's.

If the size doesnt end up the issue you think it will be, maybe the Billiard Cafe will let you have food catered. I would suggest The Cottage http://www.cottageayer.com . BC already have deliveries from The Cottage.

The problem with the Billiards Cafe is more about the size than the food.

Also, I'm not sure when you were at Jillian's last but they completely revamped the menu just before the holidays. They also recently hired the cook that used to run the kitchen at Boston Billiards so the food is a little better now.
 
well, we had three or four successful ones when country club was open so i think you'll get a pretty good turnout. how about the place in clinton? i don't know much about the place but they have a good amount of tables.

If I had enough advanced notice so I could get time off of working this wonderful third shift..... I would go and drag my hubby with me!
 
A bit of a drive,but I would be interested too if schedule & weather permit.
