Hi All,
Just wanted to show everyone a real nice hand sewn envelope case made by one of our own at AZB. This was made by Matcase. It's a 1x2 envelope made from a leather that looks like oil cloth.
This is the third case I've had from Marc, and they have all been very classy. I liked this one a lot because it reminds me of a nice holster. I'm a big gun guy (imagine that with the "Hunter" moniker!) and this case is very much like something you'd see in an L.L. Bean or Orvis catalog.
The other two I had were hand tooled (one very extensively). Whether hand stitching or tooling, Marc's attention to detail is great! The leather is heavy and the shafts are protected by suede sleeves. The inside of the top is lined with pigskin. Marc uses very nice hardware and reinforces the area around the strap that gets lots of use and wear.
Hand made envelope cases are not cheap, but Marc is very reasonable with his prices. Lots of labor goes into these babies! It's a great combo when matched with a fine cue, though.
Marc is a great guy to deal with and I highly recommend his cases!
Regards,
Steve
