New Envelope Case from Matcase!

Hi All,

Just wanted to show everyone a real nice hand sewn envelope case made by one of our own at AZB. This was made by Matcase. It's a 1x2 envelope made from a leather that looks like oil cloth.

This is the third case I've had from Marc, and they have all been very classy. I liked this one a lot because it reminds me of a nice holster. I'm a big gun guy (imagine that with the "Hunter" moniker!) and this case is very much like something you'd see in an L.L. Bean or Orvis catalog.

The other two I had were hand tooled (one very extensively). Whether hand stitching or tooling, Marc's attention to detail is great! The leather is heavy and the shafts are protected by suede sleeves. The inside of the top is lined with pigskin. Marc uses very nice hardware and reinforces the area around the strap that gets lots of use and wear.

Hand made envelope cases are not cheap, but Marc is very reasonable with his prices. Lots of labor goes into these babies! It's a great combo when matched with a fine cue, though.

Marc is a great guy to deal with and I highly recommend his cases!

Regards,

Steve

Thats a great case Steve.

Marc is a very nice guy and a very good pool player to boot. I shoot pool with him every once in a while and he always brings some pretty impressive cases with him..

Now if only I could find a way to convince him to make me case for free. I'm hoping flattery will help (hint hint Marc):D

There are two full length suede liners that hold the shafts tightly. You can see them in the picture if you look closely...

This is a very nice piece of work. I was admiring the envelope case in JV's thread and now this one. I really like this style of case.
