I'll try to say it another way, just to be sure for myself and maybe for others who might want to understand this better.
Often when you hit the cue ball faster/harder/with more speed, it just looks like there is more squirt than when you hit the cue ball at a slower speed.
So the actual amount of squirt is not reduced when the cue ball is traveling at a slower speed but the swerve curves the cue ball in the opposite direction of the squirt, thereby making it appear that there is less squirt because the cue ball attempts to swerve earlier rather than later, when it slows down.

Exactly, this is another example of what happens "actually" vs the scientific approach, so from functional point of view this has to be taken into consideration when practicing long shots with increased speed, practically it's impossible to aim the same as in using slow speed.
That is why a "medium" speed stroke is advised in most cases, in order to "balance" deflection/squirt and swerve effects, thus obtaining a more regular aiming approach, still all this from practical point of view.
