Does that white part slide in the groove on a fixed track or is it loose and is guided by the gap there...

I hate to do free advertising for him but maybe I will get $300 off for the "truth in advertising" slogan

It does look good and solid but protects the cue when clamping in I dont see any teflon inserts\pads in the picture's..I would love to see some close ups on a wrap being installed on it.

You stated 2 10ths run off is on an engineers scale which is a big margin of error or did you mean 2 10thousands of an inch on each side for a total of 4 10 thousands run off..

On the knife blade is it one sided ground to an edge or just double ground like a standard razor blade? Can you change blades or is this a proprietary knife that we have to get from you when its dull or broken\lost?

How does this fit on a lathe it looks like a stand alone device not that I see anything wrong with that? is there another one in the works to use on a lathe?

Best of luck,
Craig

we ended up making many changes since the first post and decided to go with something much more complex thats why the price increase

it uses standard single edge blades there are locator pins to insure the blade is always right

Craig, the white part is a delrin knife that fits in the groove it is very accurate keeping the cut the same no matter what you really cant make a mistake it wont let you insert the knife and set the stops and then cut .

Could you explain how the jig accomodates cues of different diameters and how the finish is protected?

yes i can there is a cam made of brass on the bottom of the hinge which allowes the hinge to fit any size and inside of the hinge there are neopreme inserts which allows you to grip the cue without hurting the finish once in place it is impossible to move the cue and since the top side that does the cutting will not flex either nothing moves then the blade and knife setup fits perfectly in the cutting track so no matter how you insert the blade it cuts the same every time this really works nice there is also adjustable stops on each end to keep from nicking the finish on the cue .

this jig will allow you to cut the seam nice and streight every time but what about the front and back of the wrap does it cut that to.

This is not my post nor my business but you cut the front and back of the wrap with a template. This is the same way that all of the leather wrapping jigs do. The jigs are only used for making the straight cut.

we designed this with a few things in mind first to keep the cue from moving period!! which this does better then any other fixture. second with the other fixtures your can move the blade while cutting no matter how careful you are with our the blade is incased in a handle that rides in a track for a perfect cut and no movement at all we also have ajustable stops at either end so you cant kick the finish the top is hinged also for quick and easy movement. there is also a stop on the end so you can set the stops for the top lenght and take the cue and replace it without loosing your place.

Let me also say this the other 2 fixtures are good quality products and work great !!!we are just offering another choice......... coke and pepsi micky D's and burger king.

What is the largest size wrap you can do with these jig? I shoot with a 60" cue with no butt sleeve Just linnin al the way and I'm thinking of cork or leather to put on it next. I like cork and I have used it alot but I want to try leather if I can have it done right.
