This new line of replacement rails is called "Ridgeback Rails". They're designed to replace the factory cushions for the Valley, Dynamo, and Global 7 and 8ft line of coin-operated pool tables.
Main points of interest about this new line of rails are as follows:
1) In production, the cushion rubber and sub-rail block are glued twice before being attached.
2) There is a center ridge down the center of the back of the rail even with the top and bottom of the rail to give the rail a three point contact against the top rail cap, to prevent the splitting of the rails by over tightening them when mounting the rails.
3) The t-nut mounting plates are 1/4" x 20 x 7/8th's barreled with the first 1/4" being non-threaded in order to give you a pin&dowel fitting between the rail bolt and t-nut to prevent the cross threading of the bolt when lining up the bolt to the t-nut. This also removes the need to cut away any overlapping cloth in order to start threading the rail bolt.
4) The pocket facings are made of 3/16" neoprene to prevent any stencil cutting through of the cloth in the corner pockets.
5) The rails come uncovered, so it's your choice of cloth installed on them the first time.
6) The sub-rail blocks are made from Poplar hardwood.
7) The rails are fitted with K66 cushion rubber, and as a final step, the tops of the rails are sanded to prevent any ridge from showing through the cloth from the cushion matching up with the sub-rail.
I'll get into the warranty of the rails later...and yes there is a warranty as well as all sets of rails are serial numbered into matching sets.
NOTE: These replacement cushions are only available on a wholesale basis only, which means you either have to be a billiards technician or a vending company to purchase them wholesale. Retail is $225.00 per set.
Also, these replacement cushions are designed to correct the specific flaws of the tables they're designed to fit on, such as...you can't install Valley cushions on a Dynamo table and expect the balls to stop hoping off the cushions. These Dynamo cushions are designed specific to Dynamo, and therefor address that problem. Anyone else that builds replacement cushions seems to think that all Valley and Dynamo's are the same.
These replacement cushions were designed by me, and are built by my partner Kerry, in New Mexico. If you'd like any more information on these replacement cushions, feel free to call me anytime. 702-927-5689

PS. These replacement cushions are by far the best after market cushions ever offered for sale, and therefor far better then even the factory cushions...which I might add, is very sad. Penguin replacement cushions have no chance of competing against this production line of replacement cushions...sorry!
