Surely there's is someone out there that has a player and the confidence
to play me here at Diamonds Billiards in Dallas. I will say this again. I WILL

Sounds awesome. Since he said he will play anyone for any amount, I'd like to come down and play him for a dollar =)

Sadly I'm too far from texas so I'll let him out of the dollar match. But if you're willing to pass on a suggestion, if a big game happens... record the match to a digital video camera and post it online at full quality later.

Well hell... I'd give Billy weight if he played me for a dollar a game. :D If I was around Dallas this would be the place that I played. Sounds like a fantastic setup you got there. Goodluck with your business and getting some big action in there.

I just recently moved out of God's country and I miss it!

I really do need to take a look at this place. Not that I'm a great player but it sounds too good to miss!

There is some bite to this bark. Billy will back up all his conversation and get down and play. You can count on that.

This place is destined to be "The Rack" of the 21st Century. I can see all the top money players congregating there. Billy is a magnet for action.

I bet even money SVB is there within a month.

Wow, Jay!

I hope you're right. As I said in my previous post I'm no great player but this place has got me interested. Now if we could get a few more like this it'd do wonders for pool!

I like your Avatar. It looks like James Christopher on a good day.

That is JAMES circa 88.

Looks more like GARY BUSEY nowadays.

What was he doing in a suit and tie? I would have bet he didn't own a tie. It had to be a funeral or a wedding.

He was going to a holloween shindig disguised as SUTHERLAND.

He spent a ton on disguises after the score in DEEETROIT:)

Disguised as Donald Sutherland in that movie where the pods take over your body (Invasion of the Body Snatchers ?)
Doug
( there are pods in my basement NOW, but it takes six pods to take over MY body.... it might take EIGHT after today's B-B-Q ) :)

Great for pool

I played there twice so far, and have to say it's really a great place for who "loves" pool

the environment and tables were set up just for players, and the owner is great guy as well

for who likes one-pocket, you really want to go play on those tables and see how banks become so predictble- my opinion!

the lighting is prefect, if only thing that can be improved....

I'd say hire a lady who take care drinks than Dean himself... lol

Hey, bro! If you want maybe we can schedule a day and go up there together. Call me and we will work something out.

I got to go there with Bert Kinister the other day and it was a really place. I hear they have yearly memberships so that you don't have to pay every time you go. That has to be nice.

photos?

Hey Dean, don't know if you recall, but we met very briefly in Louisville at the last DCC. I know you guys bought a collection of photos from Mike Haines and myself a while back with the thought of putting some of them on the walls at Diamond Billiards. I'm just curious as to whether you have gotten around to doing that yet, or maybe decided to go in a different direction.

How can I watch the tables online. I'd love to kill some time here at work watching a few live matches.

Truely a very bold statement. You had me thinking wow this guy is good til i read the part about matching up. If you would have said played anyone even then that would be impressive. I know incardonia doesn't have enough game to play anyone even.

Would he play even? Or he would he try to play like a "lock-up artist" that he is?

Please clarify because we don't to waste our time flying there and spend a week haggling for a game......

poolchic,

I bet he's got more than enough game to play YOU even.

Let's see how you play when you get his age. Most guys his age can't even get in the box with champions, unless they have the game locked up.

I think you'd be quite surprised at who Billy could play even. Here's an idea.. Don't criticize a champion's game unless you are capable of putting THOUSANDS in action against a champion yourself. We should consider ourselves lucky that Billy didn't give up the game when his eyesight/stroke started falling off.

What a character. If you really got money to put in action, then I am SURE you've been paying attention enough to know that Billy booked two (fairly large) losers recently. Given that, he MUST be making "close" games.

I guess unless he takes 4 balls less than he needs to win against yer horse, he's a "lock-artist" in your eyes..

Wanna kick his dog, too? :D
