New Mike Gulyassy Break Cues

I thought you guys would be interested to know Mike Gulyassy has created a new break/jump cue. (As you already know, he sold the rights to the Sledgehammer to McDermott.)

I just finished photographing his new ones for his website and new ads. He had 4 models: all black, with and without wrap, and curly maple, with and without wrap. They are sleek looking and very well constructed. Samsara is making the butts for Mike.

The shaft and ferrules are unique. The shaft has an extreme extended taper that Mike says adds considerable breaking power. The ferrule is a new type of phenolic fiber that holds chalk much better than other phenolic ferrule/tips. Mike told me you can even play with this tip it holds chalk so well.

I think his website is under construction, but you can email him at mike@babysproshop.com or call @ 864-458-7662.

I wonder why Mike doesn't just make them himself? Especially after all the problems with the China & McDermott cues. You'd think he want to make them so he could stay on top of the quality. Don't get me wrong...Samsara makes some of the finest cues on the planet...but they also have a lot that are mass produced for them.

I would suspect that these will also be mass produced for them.

Mike makes the shafts, including his innovative ferrule. I think he choose to outsource the butts because he can't manage the production needs in his shop. I can say from the samples I photographed that the cues produced for Mike by Samsara are gorgeous.

I don't have the wherewithall to post pics, but if someone would post them for me, I'd be happy to email them.

What leads you to believe that Samsara has anything mass produced for them?
You should know if a statement you make on this or any public forum is true before you before you post.

I like these J/B cues and i'd be interested in seeing the other models Mike will be selling. Does anyone know if they are available for sale now?

I know Samsara claims to make their line of "Bar Cues"...but as many of them as are out there and the low prices...and the fact they were making the xbreaker and now Mike's cues...sure makes one wonder. Samsara used to make very fine & high end expensive cues...now they are more concerned with spitting outs lots of cheaper cues? I believe I've seen that done before...oh yeah...DALE PERRY! I know Jim & Dan and their business practices are none of my business...I wish them the best of luck.

I think you should call or email Jim or Dave and explain your concerns to them, I am sure they will set you straight.
They continue to make some of the finest high end cues available from anyone anywhere and do not compromise one iota of quality in the lesser expensive pieces.
They have one of the most high-tech cuemaking facilities on the planet, it affords them the opportunity to produce cues of any price range to quality standards and levels of difficulty most cuemakers can only dream about.
I reiterate you should know what you are speaking about before you speak or post.

I in fact spoke with them this morning...so yes I know what I'm speaking about. As I said, they do claim to make all cheaper cues in house. Their business practice of making cheaper cues for other makers is like I said none of my business but I am allowed to wonder. Dick, I'm glad you are so fired up on Samsara and Mike's cues...and I understand as you offer quite a few of them for sale. Maybe you should check my post history as to the number of times I've refered someone to your website. I guess since I should know what I'm speaking about...I'll refrain from sending any customers to you in the future. Good day sir.
