Hi!
Silver Member
Just wanted to send a little thank you shout out to the players of the Dallas / Fort Worth (DFW) area and the sponsors of the new Omega Billiards Tour.

The players and sponsors have been so supportive and awesome!

We had two events at the end of last year to get our feet wet, but this year we have a full season with SIX stops and a Season Finale. Each stop of the Omega Billiards Tour is limited to 64 players.

Well, I'm so proud and also surprised to announce that as of this morning, we are completely full for ALL SIX EVENTS! 64 player's full with stand by lists already started!

The players in the DFW-area have always been so fantastic and to be able to join Michael Hoang of Omega Billiards Supply to bring a tour to the area is a dream come true.

A BIG thank you to ALL our sponsors:
The players and fans,
The Pool Rooms (Rusty's, JR Pockets, The Billiard Den, Clicks, and Speeds Billiards),
Omega Billiards Supply
ACME Cases
AZBilliards.com
BilliardsPress.com
CSI - CueSports International
BCAPL
Lucasi Cues
Predator Cues
OB Cues
Players Cues
Irving Ink and Thread and
the Magic Rack

Each stop is $1,000 added and we are already looking for ways to increase that for next year! :)

Yes you should be able to get more than $15 per player added.

Congrats on the sell out. Just so I am understanding, the entrees have all been pre - paid?

About half have pre-paid via paypal already, yes. The others will be paying us this weekend at our second event for the future events.

We have found not everyone has paypal, and so we take cash, too. :)

Thank you Melinda & Brian for an amazingly well done job. We wouldn't have a Tour without you guys.

Thank you Karim & Kyle (Predator), Wes (Lucasi), Mark Griffin (CSI), Mike and Jerry (AZBilliards), Royce & Shane (OB Cues), and ALL other sponsors for your supports. We all appreciate it very much. Thank you for helping us promoting pool.

Thank you all the pool rooms for hosting us, particularly Tracie & Hutch of Rusty's Billiards for taking the first chance with us.

And a big THANK YOU to ALL the players. You are why we are here.

May the balls roll your way and have lots of fun.

Wow, just goes to show that pool isn't dead in America. Good job to everyone involved.

It's true Larry. Pool is not dead by any definition. Especially in Texas.

But seriously, the APA National has over 10,000 players competing in their National Event.

The BCAPL has over 7,000 players competing in their National Event.

VNEA, ACS, NAPA all have large number of players attending.

The Jay Swanson that Mark Griffin is promoting filled up with 192 players 1 week in advance.

So yeah, pool is well and alive.

Good job!

I done went and waited too long! I wanted to get down there but the stars just didn't line up right for a good weekend for me!

See you in a few weeks at Joe's!

Great news! I'm a DFW player that used to go to as many events as possible (Fast Eddies, etc.), and it was always a shame there wasn't an ongoing tour in DFW. Now I'm signed up for as many of these Omega stops as I can make!

Right now we have so much interest in the DFW area, we don't have room on our calendar to add stops out of town. But, who knows if that might change in the future!

Noooooo! If the local ones are this full. Have more in the dfw area please. I have been two poor to enter one yet. But was hopping to try. Now it looks like next year before I can.

I doubt we'll expand next year out of the area, only add more stops from the DFW area. :)

Without knowing anything about the logistics of the thing, I hope you can add Luke's in Sherman for next season...

I like that place and it is closer to home for me than Ft. Worth and Arlington...

That said, I will be at all the stops regardless of where they are played...

any chance the field number grows from 64?

Good question.

We don't think it's doable, unfortunately. It's taking us two full days to get through 64 players right now. We would need more tables, or we would have to start Friday night to accommodate more players in the events.

congrats on the tour sellout! full fields with months to go before they kickoff...thats pretty incredible. Pool players are notoriously slow to the hip pocket, getting so many to pony up early just shows how good the tour is.
