I use an epoxy base coat....... block sanded smooth and then Ceramithane clear coat, a water based urethane........

I know some people can't get it to work but I have tried about 8 different finishes and I always come back to Ceramithane.... it is hard and buffs to a brilliant shine......

Less is more, in this case, it really does appear to be true. Good job, I dig the rings!

Morodo is one of my favorite hitting woods. I'm sure it will play well. The brass rings give it a nice warm glow.
