i used to play out that way. i lived in highland, and used to shoot all over. my name is joey..im also good friends with jamie moran, art woods, and a bunch of other ppl. i hope that place makes it big!!
joey
I've grown up in Griffith. We've probably crossed paths.
I met the owner today and he tells me they are shooting to open up in a month. I asked him about the tables and he said he'll have Valley bar boxes and gold crowns. Oh also Jeremy Chambers is setting them up.
Glad to hear about any new rooms opening especially ones here in Indiana. Griffith is a pretty long trek from Indy and I dont make it up that way often so I doubt I'll be able to check it out anytime soon.
same owners as pockets in crestwood if I'm not mistaken. They even have the same sign. I live about 15 minutes from this place and will probably be in there pretty regularly.
The building was once Griffith Furniture. From the looks of it the owner replaced the word furniture with Billiards on the same sign. Smart move on his part I think it looks great.
thats about a mile from my parents house and ill go back to check it out im about 50 miles away now, and joey if you know jaime then im sure you know george
Cool! I too used to live in Griffith after just graduating from UCLA - talk @ climate change - woke up to 82 below wind chill a few months in, with Gary IN's iron dust staining the ice on my frigid car. I lived in a large apartment complex called The Mansards, not sure if it's still there. They had a decent 9 footer in the clubhouse and I won their 14.1 championship (real stiff competition ) 2 years later I bought a house a few miles away in Sherrerville. First daughter was born in Munster Hospital. John Dillinger was jailed nearby - woohoo.
Good lake fishing though! Had some good times there. Loved Chicago.
Yeah that sums up Griffith. The mansard is a ghetto now it's embarrassing. And no his last name starts with an h. I shot in leagues with Jamie and against art. I'm pretty sure I know Joey
Mansards aren't what they used to be. Now a days its a sticky yellow dusting on the cars and when you see it you'll notice that the air smells like burned plastic. I have no idea what were breathing out here.
Think there's enough straight pool player in the area to get a league together? I live in Highland and go up to Redshoes in Alsip for league there. There's a couple other guys from the region playing there - so I know there's at least three that would be interested.
id be interested although i am just getting started playing straight pool so well im terrible but ive been working hard at it. anyword on that place yet was by there last week but no tables or anything yet.
