I hope John doesn't mind me sharing these pictures of our nearly completed project. A little help with the wrap selection from you guys wouldn't go a miss. I have my own ideas but I am all ears on this one. Photos by Marylane.

If you like cues made in the traditional way and like classic designs coupled with outstanding craftsmanship, you have to get on John Showman's list, the man is a genious. 5 veneers...love it.

Nice I'm on John's list as well can't wait for my turn. I'll vote for thr lower right wrap.
 
Personally I like the wrap on the bottom left. Great traditional looking cue!!!
OOPS I meant the bottom right... Haven't had enough coffee yet!!

My choice would be the light tan wrap , it shows of the rosewood.
I love the design.

middle leather which is like a dark brown, looks like it matches the wood better as opposed to a contrast.

I'm with snookered! An embossed lizard skin wrap with the color of the lower right leather in the pic would complete that cue like nothing else.
 
top row middle piece is what i like on that cue. and what a cue! i love the inlays, great selection of materials and a great design.

Nice cue Si. I'm going to have to vote for none of the above for the wraps. I have a color that I think would look great. I'll mail a couple down to John and you two can see what you think. If not I would go for bottom right.

You are very lucky getting that cue, it's a beauty.

I like the wrap on the lower left of the 5 colors pictured. I think the darker wrap would accent the wood colors and the brown phenolic.
 
Great cue Si! I would be inclined to go with something like the old Cortland, white/cream with brown specs, but I know how much you like leather. I would pick the lower right if I had to choose from the bunch you show, and would try to get that color in a lizard wrap.
 
Sweet looking cue, Si. Mr. Showman makes some killer work, for sure!!

How about one of those really nice Veltex grips?? You know....the foam-type style wrap? :D :D :eek:

Very, very nice cue Si. I think i'd go with the top-middle for the wrap.
