New SouthWest Ebony and Ebony

SouthWest Cue

With shipping costs and the added lizard wrap I might have the higher number just about already into it.
Cues sure have come down in price with everything else, but it makes sense. Sure didn't think I might just break even on the cue when I signed up about a decade ago.

2350.00 to 2700.00 just a guess

Seems like for a minute there ebony on ebony SW were bringing a premium. I think they are still pretty desirable but I have seen more available in the last few months than I remember seeing in awhile.

I also think now that SW has raised the prices to be inline with what the aftermarket is bringing their wait list is going come down. Used to be getting a SW in the mail was like receiving a check now everything is pretty much even. Be interesting to see the long term effect on the market and waiting list.

That is a beautiful cue.

Beautiful cue. I'm a big fan of ebony on ebony, and the veneers are nicely spaced on the dual height 4 point design, although the lizard skin wrap is not my style. I also like the ringwork and color choice. Thanks for sharing.

Yes...

very true...SW has taken the secondary market away from their cues...I dont think the secondary resale of SW will ever return, as there are way too many other options out there in the same price range.

A few years ago you could get that cue from SW for around 1K. You just had to wait ten years to get it. Now the price new from them is more that what the 2nd. market will bear. Frankly, I'm glad that Laurie caught up and is making the profit on her cues, instead of the cue flippers. Many people are now letting their orders lapse because they can no longer flip the cue after it's ordered.

Very well said!

Regardless if you decide to sell it, it is a beautiful cue.

What year is the cue?

I'm asking because the butt sleeve does not have the other ringwork 3 or 4" down. This is a "Long Sleeve" version, or whatever it's called.

In other words, it's not just Beautiful, but unique as well!!!

SouthWest Cue

It was built in mid 2009. I guess SW could have put rings above and below the wrap but that might be 200-300 more.
Wanted something different.

Not the A/B rings. Those are about $250. I'm talking about the stock ringwork in the butt *sleeve*.

The standard SW design looks like this:

Yours is solid. I think it's called a "Long Sleeve" or something like that.

Yours is unique, in that I've only seen a few of these on 6 point cues.

Congrats again on a very nice, and unique cue!!!
