So I finally finished redoing Bobby Hunter's website. I haven't worked on a website in YEARS!

It has a lot more pictures than on his previous site. Also, I will be adding some more pictures in the next couple of weeks of a John Davis conversion and some fancy inlaid cues.

I was at Bobby's shop when he was working on the "Opus" cue (fifth from the left on the "Gallery" page). What a classy, intricate, beautiful piece of work. Bobby is not only a fine craftsman, but he has a fine sense of design too.

And, of course, he can play a little.

(By the way, tell him I haven't forgotten about the monitor, but the replacement I got was defective so I'm waiting for another one.)
 
Hi, do you know approximately the cost rang of Bobby's cues. Maybe a low range cue and a higher range cue.

IMO, Bobby's cues are worth every penny. I was fortunate enough to hit a few shots with one of John Schmidt's Hunter Cues a few years ago (the cue that he ran 400 with). It absolutely had the smoothest, cleanest, most silent hit. John was trying to sell it to me - minus the original shafts. Every now and again I kick myself in the asss about not taking that cue off John's hands. It hit like a dream, and from what I hear, that smooth silent hit is a trademark of all Bobby's cues.
 
Oh, nothing against him or his cues... he's just another in what is becoming a long line of cue makers I've found that I really like the design of that, unfortunately, is just too far out of my price range at the moment. lol

Basically the same site has before with some nice updates. I like the redone banner with Bob's logo as well.
Would be nice to have a form for people fill out under the contact us.

Most of the cues on the website are under 5k. Bobby also has a few different options for under 2k. As far as high end, that can go as high as someone wants.

You can always give him a ring for more info - 775-450-2607.

Thanks. That is pretty much what I was aiming to do. I wanted to update the design and add some more content. I absolutely hate design work. In my former life, I mainly programmed web reports and more backend stuff. I had Bobby give some input on the banner/logo, else he probably would have ended up with something quite atrocious.

Good idea on the form. I did not set him up with a database yet so maybe just a little form to shoot off emails. Personally, I prefer just sending an email, but I guess the form is easier for some people.

He wants to add some more content in the near future, so it should get more filled. Not that it needs too much...
 
Mine...

Just wanted to put up a few pictures of the new, ebony Bobby Hunter cue I got. I have heard a lot of great things about Bobby's cues, and his attention to detail. I can honestly say that the reports were right. This cue is just stunning in person.

The pictures are AFTER some magic was worked by Steve Lomax, in the form of HANDS DOWN, THE NICEST Lizard Wrap I have ever seen. Steve's work is just awesome, and I'm going to do a special write up on that.

Here are some quick shots of the cue. I'll post more (and better ones!) after I've logged some time with the new magic wand!

Fabulous stuff

I am anxiously awaiting my ebony butt, hi-line Hunter cue. I ordered 13mm shafts and Bobby is trying to talk me out of a tip that big, but to no avail. If anyone is thinking of getting one I would advise ordering it soon before Bobby becomes swamped with orders and long waiting periods become the norm.

Don't get too down bro. that's just the from bobby price. on the secondary market i've seen them sell for 800+. the plane janes that is.

a friend of mine says he can get 2 fancy hunters for 2k. i haven't bothered looking into it though because i don't have the 2k to spend

i thought he ran 400 with the brown OB cue?

That was the second 400 he ran. 403 I think with the ob-2 shaft.

The first one was with the cue he got from Bobby. I remember him saying in 2008 at the World Championship Straight Pool tournament that he wished he was still using his Hunter because he could do so much with it.
