I have some things to clean up in PM's but I will be taking a Time Out, maybe forever from AZB.

On an ongoing thread in the main forum there is getting to be a big discussion on my integrity and moral values.

I kind of lived through this as a newbie but I feel over the years I earned my Stripes but the haters gotta hate and dispite there may be people who do not care for my tips which I can appreciate I have always tried my best to nothing but right by my customers.

You can always email me direct at Tcue@aol.com and yes the door for special pricing will still be up. Love Ya Guys, I just don't want to go through or create negativity.

Yes, the sale this week is still on.
Sorry, I have recieved some emails wondering if I am closing up. BY NO MEANS, I would sell out before close up, I have around 2,000 customers. My plans are to give it someday as a going Biz to my Niece or Nephew or there children.

Sorry to hear Tom. Had a great transaction with you. I receive 4 tips to many and when I contacted you about paying for them there was a great exchange where you didn't want the difference. I also have liked your tip and haven't had any complaints from the ones installed for other people. Best of luck.

What a pity what a strange kind of negativity can do here.
I've seen no "USA made" so I was never expecting that. And quite frankly, a lot of people don't bother were it's made for much more important things (food, ...).

The tips are excellent and the price more than adequate. I'll have a soft next as the medium is a bit too hard for me.

You are correct. Haters are going to hate, but...don't ever let the opinions of a few, dictate your business decisions. IF the majority of the folks you are serving here, are satisfied with your product/service, and I suspect that they are from what I've read regarding feedback concerning your tips, then let that be your satisfaction, and let that guide your decision/s. All you can ever do as a business person, is try your absolute best, to satisfy your customers. Unfortunately, you can't always please everyone. I would hate to see you exit, but ultimately the decision is yours. Just my 2 cents, and I wish you the best. :cool:

That's a bunch of Bull you know what Tom,,, Don't try to come of as the guy that appreciates the fact that some people (MYSELF) Hate your tips, Because every dam time I spoke my piece about your tips you where all up and adam and all over me for me saying what I thought about your cheap $0.50 Basement made tips,


Now you want to say that you respect the fact that some people don't like them, You just showed your true color by making that statement,

I don't like the tips but I also don't judge others for things like what I do and don't like, I wish you well and hope your in good health

I've got several of ultraskin tips on hand... I'll think I'll offer to install some tips for $8 to local players just to promote toms products to the league players that fill the poolroom just about every night of the week.

As one of the first people and repairmen to speak up about the quality of these tips,hopefully you can get around the bullshit and keep going.

I'll order some of the new tips when I place my next order,working on my 13th now. Tommy D.

Hello JT! Don't know you but after reading your post I was surprised. I'm just a dabbler - got a few lathes and play with cues now and then, but I'm a pretty strong pool player. I was a Kamui fan till I tried Tom's tips. They performed equally well, as I observed. I realize you don't care for them, and that is cool, tips are a very personal thing. (as are tits but I didn't say that). I reviewed your posts back into late 2015 looking for an explanation of your dislike, but found none. Your post indicated you had complained about Tom's tips repeatedly. Please refer me to links of such discussions. I'd like to study them. Thanks

You would like to study them, LOL What are you writing a book, It's very simple I don't like ultraskin tips, Maybe you can study that for a while...

I have nothing against Tom Personality, In fact I'm sure he is an up standing guy
Just not a fan of the tips, That's all.....

Let me help you out:

As a cue repair man There are just to many tips on the market for me to stock all of them. I like to try a new tip myself first before I offer them to my customers. That way I can give my customers my thoughts on any tip they ask about. But the fact of the matter is with all the different tips on the market today that would cost me to much to do. So I try to stock what sells. Most cue tips co's are pretty good they will send a cue repair guy a free sample to preview there tips Like Black king did. I have asked Tom for a sample so I could try his tips before I offer to my customers but he said no. At that point I thought forget it. There are just to many other good tips out there. Maybe some day I will consider stocking them for my customers...

Tom I don't know how your ultraskin tips went at the SBE, But I can tell you this, Every repair man I saw there had them on there price list, I did see one person having one installed on there cue as I walked by. As a repair man my self That's one of the things I enjoy most about the show is watching all the other repair men. FYI I installed a oinker M on my cue, So far I love it, Install was good, cut clean and shaped well, It plays great. I need to order some more ultra skins from you, Do you have any sales going on now ????

If the ultraskins where all that , Why don't they sell for more, Don't tell me your selling them for $2.50 - $3.00 because your just a nice guy, If you could sell them for lets say $10-$15, You know you would and if you would not then that's just a stupid business move, The fact of the matter is they are cheep tips period, Plane and simple. Like I said I would not stock them even if I got them for free and my profits where 100% on them, I think I have maybe $2,000 worth of tip inventory and could put anything I want on my cue, An ultraskin would be the very last tip I would ever use and I tell all my customers and who ever asked the same thing. You simply can not compare an ultraskin to a G-2 or a Kamui, or a Zan, sure they are a lot less money but there is a reason why. End of story, I'm not hear to have a pissing contest with anyone, Just saying what I believe to be true, I have installed them and don't like the way they cut and burnish at all, and needless to say I don't like the way they play at all but then again what can you really expect from a $2.00 Tip.

I met Tom a few years back. Nice guy good hearted. Just a little bumps here and there on the road. Even a nice Race track have tinny bumps. Don't let those little bumps stop what you want to do. There is love and hate :D:D:D. Keep up the good work Tom.

I love the tips and so do a lot of people around here. I will continue to buy them as long as I can.

Seems there's a jerk in every crowd. Sounds like because you couldn't get a free sample or because he wouldn't sell them to you at more of a discount (like that's even needed, ya cheap bastard), you decide they aren't worth anything to anybody. Nice! Tom's a great guy and his tips play great as well. You, on the other hand, could use a few lessons in manners and how to treat others respectfully!

Well Tom, I never read the main forum, or any forum other than the 2 cue makers forums so I don't know what you are having to endure out there. First impressions are lasting impressions I am sorry to say especially among the cue sport participants.

I've never met you in person but my first contact with you was on another forum where, I'm sorry to say, we clashed immediately. There was some emails passed back and forth, threats changed hands and you made a real enemy in me. Later, you came onto this forum and made a number of posts and little by little you brought me around. You weren't The devil reincarnated that the first impression gave me.

You later brought out your line of tips and I held off purchasing any as there was no demand in my market for them. I have about 60 different types and hardness's of tips in stock so that I can please most everyone. I've never pushed one tip over another unless it's a real novice who has no clue what he want's for his style of play.

After a while I got a few of each hardness and as people began using them the word got around and sales picked up. There are probably 50 players to 1 who play pool who do not play good enough to tell the difference between a Kamui and a Ultra Skin but they can sure tell the difference in the price. I've been doing cue repair since the late 60's and I've put on many, many thousands of tips in that time. I've seen many tips that I myself don't like but others do. As a mechanic, it's not for me to determine what a customer likes but to make him happy.

It is very apparent that you are very well liked on this forum and you carry a good product at a very reasonable price. Don't let a few people who can't see the difference between a product that is being sold at a very reasonable price and another who is gouging. Some people are happy with their chevy and pass on the BMW.

What is good buisness vs. bad buisness. IMO Tom has good buisness practices and respect. He provides a great customer service and a good quality tip at a fair price. Just because of its price, may put it in the 'cheap' category but that's because of its price only not because of quality.
Bad buisness practice would be to come on a public forum with your username as your buisness and bash a person's product. Just maybe your buisness would be better yet if you didn't speak for your customers and let them decide as to what they like and don't like. The lack of respect to continuously bash a person's product rather than once and done is baffling.
I have never seen Tom come on here and bash a competitors product let alone the buisness or work of someone that had bashed him more than once. Now that is class and respect of a good buisness man.
Tom keep up the great work, great tips and top notch customer service!

Tom, is a straight up guy selling a quality product at a very fair price. I have put his tips on a significant number of my cues as a "standard" tip and never had a single individual author a negative comment . . . keep up the good work Tom . . . we are with you.

I have to chime in. His products are well made, easy to install and no complaints from customers so far.

Tom ships quickly and does not knock his competition.

He has a good product and the price is super reasonable.

Tom, don't let some whiners run you off. Keep providing quality products and watch your profits grow.
