I normally would not respond to such a thread, but it was the first thing I read this AM and it rubbed me the wrong way.

Pletho - Call me up sometime and I'll give you a great deal on a cue. After we have done some business feel free to post anything you would like about me or the price of my cues.

I really wish some of you could READ before flying off the Handle!

I said the cues were too pricey for me, not that they were over priced nor did I say anything BAD about whomever owns the site, you all read too much into things, if you are looking for negatives you will be sure to find them even if they are not really there.

As for the Rick Howard Cue, YES I personnaly know Rick Howard and I know what he sells his Cues for, but with the current cue market and the second hand market of his cues, from my experience it is too high I think, my opinion though and I am entitled to have one aren't I.

I have seen people pretty much have to give his cues away, even though I think they are one of the best playing cues around, I personally couldn't sell one of his cues on here anywhere near what it was worth in almost mint condition.

So lets get it straight, this was an honest question about where to find this site I had the web site spelled wrong obviously and couldnt find it, so I asked for someone to help, no maliciousness or evil was intended or planned as someone who posted presummed from their own paranoid mind.

I cannot believe how many have posted on this thread who do not READ what is written, are you all bored or what.

I am not trying to make enemies but sometimes it seems as though people just blow things out of proportion, I am a stand up person, very, very honest and enjoy this forum and enjoy doing business with the people on here, so no one please smear my name unless you know exactly what you are talking about.

As you can see if you read my post, I said the Cues were too pricey for ME! Not that they were overpriced or bad or whatever.

Imagine if it is this easy to overlook something written right in plain sight, what things are probably blown out of proportion with out any proof whatsoever about what someone said, hell mine is right on the page and people cant read it correctly.

Just thought I would set this correct and if no one believes me Oh Well, that's their problem not mine, my concious is clear............

I feel the need to elaborate on this because I initially thought the same thing - what the hell were pool books doing costing so much?

As I am considering trying to learn to play one pocket I did some quick research into the books (after seeing them here) and much to my surprise they are very valuable. Apparently they are hard to get, very sought after, and go for crazy money - see link for example.

very true, but those books typicaly go for less on this board. I picked up my copy of shots moves & stratagies for $160 on here.

You have no clue what you are talking about whatsoever so please do not guess or assume or think you have any idea whatsoever as to why I started the thread, could it possibly be as simple as I wanted to find the site, Maybe?

Gong your guess about me trying to wheel and deal for the cue was way off also, nice try though, maybe you would do better with a grenade, you do not have to be very accurate with those I've heard....:)

Would someone please close this thread? Regardless of where this is headed (and I suspect nowhere good), the gentleman came here looking for a website, he has it, and Jamie has responded personally. Let them take it from here. No one's questioning Jamie's cue prices, and clearly the authors intent is being misconstrued and twisted. Let's move on gentlemen.

this is a very strange site where you ask for a link and say a cue is to high for your wallet and you get a bunch of crap from guys that cant run 3 balls....then tell him that he asked to much for one pocket books that were signed by all the authors and pretty much kept in plastic bags to preserve them in origional form and the person who bought it for 160 maybe you got a steal on it and im sure they werent as nice as plethos.....so i guess if you guys call info for a number they should tell you to look for an ad in the paper or on tv or on the radio.........you guys are nuts

Pletho I'm sorry I said that I made a mistake. I don't think you meant any harm I just get a little defensive when someone says something about a friend. Jamie is a great guy who sells some great cues.

true,they are valuable but usually you can pick them up for $150-$200.he might have even bee trying to sell them for more than $400 each,i really can't remember.either way he had them at least $200 overpriced.

I have no idea how this post got so out of hand, no worries, I never hold grudges at all, you are cool, I am cool, we are all cool, so lets get back to doing civil business again, I have formally apologized in PM to Jamie for even posting what was not meant to be malicious, my opinion....

Great lesson for people on this forum to learn, if you have a slight chance you could have been wrong, why not apologize, good lasting strong relationships are HIGHLY dependant on forgiveness, honesty, and people willing to say I'M SORRY, even if they are pretty sure they are right but maybe they were misunderstood, people should just apologize for handling their words wrongly, it goes a long, long, long way....
