I'd rather watch paint dry. That wasn't pool at all. It was just safe safe safe safe then run couple balls. Totally brutal to watch.
And this is why pool will never grow in this country.

Back and forth safety battles, executed perfectly, have been a staple of pool matches...especially money matches, for at least a hundred years. People CHEER for good back and forth safeties every year at the DCC. Personally, I think of it more like a long volley between two expert tennis players...both performing on the run, and changing variables as the game changes. That's exciting to see. You may not enjoy it, but I consider any excellence in any billiard game to be a wonder to behold. :grin-square:

I don't believe so. At least part of the match between Earl and Darren is on youtube, but the video quality leaves a little to be desired.
