Next great young player?

theres some kid from south dakota i dont think anyones heard of yet, hes around 25 or so I cant even spell or pronounce his name. He hasnt done much yet, but one day he'll win something big.
 
Just watched Liz Lovely play for about half and hour today. She is only 17 and she is def gunna be a world champ someday.
 
Mitch Ellerman from Phoenix has my vote! I'd put his game against anybody's from any country...

In being a manufacturered player I assume you mean that he looks mechanical and that everything is well thought out. From what I see the so called naturals tend to wing things. I went to Randy G's pool school and what he teaches is a very reaptable stroke - my stroke is definately manufactured now (and better than ever). Being manufactured is not a bad thing it just means that he has been trained well and has done what has been asked of him in his training. A natural would be someone who ran a hundred balls the FIRST time that they ever picked up a cue. Show me that natural and I will show you a liar. I know you didn't mean any disrespect, but you have to remember that Landon is 15 years old and probably read what you wrote about him - at 15 you don't need to hear some adult saying that you can't get the job done. Lets keep it positive when we are talking about the future of the game.

I think I was misunderstood, obviously Shane is allready a great player so I was not trying to imply that he would be the next one. I was merely referring to him as an example that has been there, like Corey before him and Johnny before that.

Briana actually hasn't turned 14 yet ... She'll be playing at the WPBA US Open next week and is the 2nd youngest to ever play a WPBA Event - Tiffany Nelson-Crain remains the youngest at 13 years 1 month. Briana's 13 years 10 months. I'm looking forward to meeting her, I've heard great things!

Sarah has met Brianna (13), Kamilla Kodeheva(14) from Belgium and Gillian Go(10) from the Phillipines. She said that all three are great but Gillian's game really impressed her. That opinion says something to me after having followed Briannas success at Borderline and Kamilla taking down Xioa Ting Pan at the Amway.
 
Bergman Morra Landon

I have seen all three of these talented young men play in person.
Landon was very disciplined and his shots and moves calculated.
Morra played well but had room to improve which is expected at his age.
Bergman impresses me the most of all the young players in the U.S.
He is a ball pocketing machine and only seems to get better the more pressure or higher the bet gets. He did not seem intimidated at anyone on the board at the tournament I was at. He is also a great person to be around. If he can keep his head straight I believe he could be great.

Where is Watchez?
He has good perspective on this subject.
 
Junior Nationals

Brendan Crockett just went undefeated to win the Boys U-14 title; won the final 9-5 over Billy Thorpe, last year's runner up to Landon Shuffett who won the U-14 two years in a row. Landon is now in the upper U-19 bracket. He is also undefeated and is in the finals as I type, against Jesse Engel, who beat Nick Tafoya to come off the left side for the final match.
 
IMHO

Without a doubt Mike Dechaine is going to top any of these kids and possibly any of the top pro's today! This kid plays unbelievable, winning pro tournaments at his young age of 22. There is not many other players in the world like him with his talent, when he gets it all together he will be close to unbeatable!

Wu Chia-Ching .....about 21 years old now.


In the year 2004, he was the runner-up at the 2004 Junior 9 ball World Championship but then in 2005, Wu stunned the 9 ball world by becoming the youngest player ever to win the WPA World 9 ball Championship at the remarkable age of 16 years and 5 months. At the same Championships in the following year (2006), Wu was the top seed unfortunately however losing to Renato Alcano of the Philippines in the quarter-final.

Incredibly, also in 2005, Wu won the WPA World 8 ball Championship, and this made him the first person ever to hold both the World 9 ball and 8 ball WPA titles in the same year.

And he does not have any place in a discussion about the "next" great young player, he is and has been a top player in the world for years now despite that young age. Might as well say "Gee I think that Dennis Orcullo might actually amount to something in a year or two guys!"
