Has anyone seen or heard from Nick in the past week? It seems like he went silent after a group of people called him out on misrepresenting multiple cues and sales listings. Just trying to figure out if his silence is admission of guilt, or if maybe something actually happened to him.

anytime you buy something from a person, other than a brick and mortar store where you have some kind of guarantee and can go back and face your seller. you are in jeopardy of getting the worse of the deal or having things about the product embellished.

that doesnt mean the person selling has permission to deceive in some way but something you have little control over or little in the way of getting it fixed.

Embellished is a tricky thing.
A cues condition might be 8 out of 10 to me.
But you may think it's a 5 out of 10.
So if I sell it to you we might have a problem.
I have 4 cues and I bought none sight unseen.

condition is in the eye of the beholder. so the buyer needs to have a return policy that he trusts. and enough pics or descriptions to satisfy before he sends money. if he takes a chance stupidity reins supreme.

Why would I want to initiate private conversation? The whole point isn't to ask him for an answer privately. His answer needs to be public.
Why? It seems you are the only one interested enough to actually start a thread.

Where is Coco to shed light on this situation? Seems right up his alley...
Oh just you wait. I'm sure he will chime in...probably HE too. As a matter of fact I'm guessing everyone but the person who has questions to answer will comment before all is said and done.

So you know many people WANT the answer to the question, they just might not have felt the need to start a new thread to get it. I personally feel like once you have been caught in the same lie on the 3rd or 4th straight cue, you should probably answer a few questions publicly before trying to sell again.

I do not know why you decided to bring my name into this, Nick did what I do not know?

I have seen Nick posts, but never had any dealing with Nick. His stuff is too rich for my blood.

If you look at Nuck’s profile, he has been active on forum.

Your name was brought up because you butt into every other thread, was just a matter of time

For someone who never would have commented on the post, you were awfully quick to notice your name came up in it. Me thinks he's right that sooner or later, you would have made your idiocy noticed.

It seems to me the biggest issue with online cue sales is either shaft straightness or shaft diameters. I can honestly say that with over 100 online cue purchases in my lifetime I never feel that I was truly "burnt". However, shaft straightness is so, so subjective IMO. Some may say either it is straight or it is not straight- the crux of the matter is how someone measures straightness. If I connect the shaft to the butt and sight down the cue like a rifle and it looks straight to me, then I am OK with it. Some want the shaft to roll perfectly flat on a perfect level surface- good luck with that - very few shafts on any used cue roll with absolutely no space at all somewhere between the length of a shaft and the surface it is rolled upon.

Shaft diameters are always a bone of contention for many as well. Is it 13MM on the leather tip , yet 12.8MM three inches down from the tip- measurements and advertised specifications are usually never exact from what I have seen.

As others have said here, online, unseen sales and purchases of used items are always buyer beware, you take your chances. I expect everything to be as advertised "within reason" - I have not been disappointed in 20+ years of online cue purchase having that expectation.

I would only call someone out on this site or some other site if their sales representations were beyond the " within reason" parameter and they failed to make good on the claim.

Is someone here claiming that a well known seller on AZ has been passing beyond acceptable sales representation parameters- if so - let us hear the facts from both sides.

What you think does not mean 💩, what I know is never felt with Nick, so I have zero opinion I know zero about.

What I do know is AZB has become a place that is not doing much to build the image of Pool.

Also I believe Pool as a whole would be better off with one governing body, running both Pro, and Amateur events.

There is strength in numbers, and help attract advertisers, and sponsors.

I'm relieved to hear that you never felt Nick, that would open up a whole different level to the Loco side of Coco. I agree that with people spouting off like yourself, HE, and the others who support scam artists, it doesn't do much to help the public image of pool.
