Used the Willards nickle/rounder scuffer forever (60's), contemplating going to the dime rounder. Anyone out there switch after MANY years of play and if so why, and what were your results good or bad?

I like the nickle and can't make a ball with the dime.
Why are you "contemplating going to the dime rounder"?
My thinking is with the same swing speed I'd be able to get more out of whitey. In essence was hoping to slow down my swing speed while getting the same about of cue ball spin, we all know you can catch more rail going in the hole with slower speeds, at my age I'm catching more rail than I used too.

I usually see people use nickel on the 13mm and the dime on the smaller 12mm shafts.

Since they have been out there actively knockin' heads with other pros, just thought this aspect of the game may have been brought up in discussion within their peer group. I used their names because I respect their opinions and they post here once in awhile that's all. Don't want feed back from a ball banger.
