Nine Ball UK Open.

This was supposed to be grey, sure looks brown to me! Way too many wing balls on the break to the point it’s becoming boring to watch the break and run outs. Maybe they should go with 3.75” inch Pockets? Goofy colored balls as well makes it hard to watch,

agree on tables, but 4" is enough. even though the likes of filler and dennis can make 4" look easy, going tighter is making the game too different from what we regular non-pro players play. i also agree on the ball colors but it's not a hill to die on.

go on mickey now! 🇩🇰🇩🇰

Jeff Beckley playing Imran Majid on table two and leading big right now. Is this the same player who defeated Omar at the US Open this year?

Jeff Beckley is not the player who defeated Omar at US Open. He is a capable player from Indiana who won a US Bar Table event several years ago and recently went to the hill against Appleton at the Super Billiards Expo.

Luke Garland plays in all the Great Britain 9-Ball Tour events as well as the Go-Customs 9-Ball series. He plays not far from Benji Buckley speed.

Lots of dead money but number of elite players in the field and prizemoney (Winner's cheque $30K) is befitting of a major.

Not impressed at all with the snooker players so far. To be fair to them though it's possibly a result of being over-fundamentalised. I'd like to see them chill a little and just play their natural game - tighten up if they go deep.

I believe I read Bob Jewett saying the that pockets were 4 1/4 “ but would be 4” in the future. Four “ pockets would be ok, but there’s way too many wing balls being made this way.

Also the cloth color reminds me of what the Camel Pro series tried during the 90’s tried (presumedly to resemble the color of tobacco) and never gained favor. Real grey would be preferable to this brown color being used now.

The U.K. wide open?

Lots of uncomfortable looking players from the matches I've watched.

Garczar, it's free to sign up, but the link I didn't find it free/live to watch, hummm. Did find the ones already finished.

I looked through some of AtLarge's break stat threads.

Over the last 2 years, I could only find 3 examples of them racking the 9 on the spot. ...
Dr. Dave has tabulated a few results from many of my stats threads. His 9-Ball table currently includes about 15 events with the 9-ball racked on the spot: https://billiards.colostate.edu/faq/break/stats/#9-ball

And, yes, as Bob Jewett indicated, quite a few factors other than the rack location affect the B&R results.
