No Jump Cues Hurt Some Players

Burn all jump cues

I watched most of the TS stream and noted a lot of the younger players missed a lot of kicks W/O being able to use their jump cues. In fact I noted some of the "use to be" good kickers are losing some of their kicking form because they are depending on the jump cue so much. A lot of the international players really sucked kicking. Johnnyt

I couldn't give two turds what you think. Johnnyt

Add me to your list, because I saw some really great kicks as well.

Little Ko play a jam up kick safe against Mike D that would have made Efren proud. Then Mike D gets up and one rail kicks right out of it.

Yeah, players don't know how to kick.

It always appeared to me as if the women were the ones that benefited from the jump cue. When I was bored and watched the crap on ESPN the women would be very quick to pull out the jump cue and the commentators would always brag it up about how exciting it was, but to be fair to the women that station was also more concerned about watching the ball drop in the pocket and rarely showed any of the other safety play as they would always fast forward to show a ball running into the pocket with the pocket cam.

They're pros. They'll learn how to kick better because some tourneys don't allow jumpers .

Any specific young players?

Well since we keep hearing about all these great shots made by pro's to help the win matches and turnys some even call "the shot of the Tourniment "
It would be foolish to think that there were not many times the jump could have been used to make balls and extend runs or to hit a ball that can't be hit by a kick
What's really shocking to me is all these people watched these matches with no jump cues used , who would have thunk it:cool:

People don't watch pool just for jump shots. They simply like them when they are played just like they appreciate any other well made shot.

All you kicks are better and mean no luck - people - are wrong.

Many times through TS players kicked at balls and got extremely lucky rolls. One in particular was when Eric Hjorliefson (sp) kicked hard at a ball against Oscar Dominguez and the struck object ball carom banked across the table to make the nine ball.

There were a lot of great kick shots with INTENTIONAL results and many were just hit and hope.

As had been said a zillion times jump cues ADD TO the game they don't detract from it. We will still watch pool even if promoters decided to change the rules. Doesn't mean we wouldn't enjoy it MORE if all the shots that are available to players under the WORLD rules were also available to them in modified rules events.

Same luck happens with jump sticks ,, I highly doubt anyone watches pool because of its wow entertainment moments ,, if they do thier often left disappointed
I liken jump cue entertainment value to putting a earing on a pig with lipstick ,, simply does not change what it is

I AGREE - they should have allowed the jump cues.
