This is entirely my quasi-educated opinion after spending hours & hours on the phone with both parties. I think Str8 is such a small company with niche experience, and they wanted to branch out. How many employees do they have? Where's their warehouse and office?. They're small! Perhaps this relationship with Mark turned out to be more than they figured on and cared to handle.
Dealing with juniors vs pro's is like handling a stick of butter vs a stick of volatile dynamite. You sometimes have to get your hands dirty with the pro's - the negotiations are a time consuming b1tch - like convincing a 4 year old it's time for bed after 3 candy bars - perhaps Str8 didn't anticipate that. I would hate to think Str8 learned so much from Mark they felt they could do it better/cheaper and exaggerated circumstances to dump him. Sorry, but I have to wonder.
I don't know, but as this thread has now leaned to Str8 is surely in the right - just saying - it's not that cut and dry. But hey, they were the employer, it's their right. I think Mark probably underestimated this endeavor and wished he'd done things differently. He probably still acted as the lone ranger and presented complications.
There's many inconsistencies in this saga, trust me. But NO ONE is the devil here. Str8 is doing some GREAT things. I think they just underestimated things and cut bait.
I sincerely hope the best for Str8-Shots and their wonderful mission to help many people. And I hope Mark can pick up the pieces quickly. And I hope we're all the wiser.

There is no need to count posts to find out how many posts someone made in a particular thread. Just go to the page that lists all the threads in that forum, find the thread of interest, and click on the number of replies to that thread (found in the second-to-last column).
A "Who Posted?" window will pop up for that thread, showing the user name and number of posts for everyone who posted in that thread.
