Northern NJ Mechanic Needed

Hi. I'm considering to recloth and relevel my 9' Victor table. It's a circa 1950's table and I've been told it's tricky to level for some reason, but it's always been possible to level as far as I can tell. I have a slow Simonis 860 on there now and probably want to put new cloth on. Also I'm thinking some kind of wax instead of joint compound for the seams. I've managed to pull up the compound when vacuuming the cloth. Maybe wax would work better?

Anyway, I don't know what the going rates are for a good mechanic. The first guy I used years ago put the cloth on upside-down according to the second installer, who I also think probably didn't do the best job of it.

I really want someone who knows what they are doing, and hope I can get a good referral or two. Thanks for any info!

I`ave seen pics of Pats work and he is top of the line. The vacum attachement is important,it will also pull wax up from the seams.

Thanks for the recommendation, guys. I'll call him next week.

Call Jay Spielberg, he's not to far from you and I know he travels to where the job is, he has a lot more experience working on T-rails than anyone else up in your area. 603-765-6160

God has spoken....:banghead: Jay is an excellant choice. But don't forget about John Burns from Classic Billiard Service. He is even closer than Jay. Thanks for posting Glen.

Pat O'Donnell or John Burns is my recommendation for that area, they are both excellent mechanics on modern or "T" rail tables. They are very reliable and priced fairly for any work you my need.
