Not Reading Anymore Aiming Threads

I took me 3 hours to get back to aiming and making balls like I've done for 50+ years after I started and read that Aiming Is Simple thread. I was sub-consciously adjusting something at the last fraction of a second just before I hit the QB and missing the pocket altogether. All aim threads are on ignore for me…sub-consciously from now on. Johnnyt

LOL! I quit reading them years ago for the exact same reason.

Hi there Johnnyt,
Sorry to see that you see so much confusion about aiming. With Perfect Aim there is no confusion. This is a way to aim that just is the way it is. It's the way the eyes naturally see the shots. It's a shame it has taken man so long to invent the wheel as far as figuring how to alm with pool.
Give me a call Johnny and I will explain a few things that will just blow your mind. After I talk with you , you will understand more..

Have a great day geno................

Maybe it's a sign your subconscious learned something from the thread. Your game often hits a pothole when that happens.

For real i'm sick and tired of hearing about this perfect aim stuff....

When you get down to shoot you are already lined up.. just make sure you hit the cue ball where you want to hit it..

works just fine for me anyway.

Geno - if you're breaking out of your own thread in the hopes of expanding your marketing, you will be put on ignore.

In fact, why wait? You are now on ignore!

Now that is funny!!! I play very unorthodox related to stance and stroke, probably aiming too if I ever aimed, anyways, I read Willie Hoppe's book and tried to change my fundamentals to improve my game-I literally couldn't make a ball for a week. Can't teach an old hound new tricks, gave the book to a friend to mess with his head before we matched up. The information in the book was golden but I couldn't apply it after years of different stuff.

If you start making balls again, and there are no live aiming threads available at that time, and you want to screw up your mind again and start missing balls again, just visit the following page:

There, I have concise summaries and useful quotes from many of the AIMING THREADS FROM THE PAST.

There is actually some useful stuff on the page, but most of it will probably just make you miss shots again. :frown:

Dave

There's a point to be made there. A lot of serious players in other sports such as tennis, golf, bowling, etc. avoid talking or reading about technique, because it will "mess up their heads."

Golfers call it "paralysis by analysis," where you get so caught up in holding your foot this way, your knee this way, your hips this way, your elbow this way, blahblahblah, you get so tensed up you can't even swing the club back. I can certainly see the same thing happening to a pool stroke.

I'm not going to read threads about not reading threads about aiming anymore....

Wait I like this thread, damn I'm confused

LMAO. Thank you. It's nice to know that there is someplace to go if I catch that "I Read An Aiming Thread" again. All kidding aside, I bought, watched and read your "Pool and Princibles" when I came back afters 5 years and 2 strokes. I couldn't remember things. Even the basics. It worked well for me. Thank you. "Someone shoot JohnnyT for starting not only one, but *3* separate aiming threads"

Actually, this thread should be renamed to "someone shoot JohnnyT for starting not only one, but *three* separate aiming threads in the span of only a couple days."

:p <-- to JohnnyT :D

(Although kudos to JT for quickly realizing the opening he provided for the machino, and immediately stomping the Perfect Aim ants as as they emerged from the hole.)
