not the first thread like this.....(its a fun one)

thats a great idea. on the square IF and I really mean IF I get the right price for my house that I'm selling in Vegas. I will have the $$$ to make a experiment which is opening a room with free table time for members and $5/hr for bangers or something real cheap. I'm going to give away the table time. And sell beer/wine at regular prices, perhaps cheaper.

The way I figure it-its a cheap date for anyone. I wont be looking for a profit so I can do this-if I get the energy to make it happen. I would buy the building it would be in so power, insurance and payroll, property taxes would be my only nut. I think it would work in the right spot. the weak link here is me, i 'might get lazy and not bother and do a proivate club with 6 tables-members only.

Cant hardly wait. Sign me up as a charter member.

My buddies call my house A HOLE BILLIARDS. My name is Alex and some how by buddy just came up with it and now it has stuck. I made a Logo with a Guy kicking a donkey in the ass and I have A HOLE BILLIARDS " COME GET YOUR ASS KICKED ". Ill find the logo and post it, its comical.

My only suggestion for any business owner's name is to make it very easy to spell for website and google purposes.

Fatboy's Twisted Cue Club

Big Perms Afro Paradise
Fatboy's Skinny Room
Jay's Toupei Billiards
Shooting Art's Roadhouse
Newstroke's Phenolic Hall
Cuephoric's Hall of Tables
Moni's Business Meeting Billiards

Best I got on short notice :grin-square:

Name calling

My 3 favorite pool hall names.
Six Pockets - i believe in Virginia Beach
Velvet Rail - Lansing
Chicago Billiard Cafe

For you i'm going with Fat Boy's Billiard Cafe.
I think this name implies the ambiance you will want.....
people playing pool, sipping a drink and cutting up old scores.
yeah, and debating who the best 5x10 1-hole player is.

Boss Billiards is the name of the pool room on Gunsmoke the TV show-I made a seperate thread about it. I actually like that name for a room.

there sure have been some dandy names in this thread, thanks, its fun to read them and think of them and how people/customers would react.

Imagine if some one named Mr. Harry Ball wanted to open a pool room with his name, he would have to call it Harry Ball's Pool Room. LOL

best,
Eric

Q Street Billiards

It really was located on Q street, Springfield, OR.

Alas, it's no more.

I ran a college gameroom back in KY and named it 'The Corner Pocket'. I always liked that.

I always wanted to have a top-shelf place of my own and call it 'The Blue Room'. The main part of the hall would be done in green with a private section in the back called 'The Green Room' finished in blue...

I'm a bigger fan of a place's tag-line more than anything. I used to love going to Yesterday's in Lexington, KY. I had a shirt from there with their tag-line: 'I broke my balls at Yesterday's'

Good thread. Thanks for starting it-

J.
