NUCUES AKA Steve Klapp

Whats the joint on your cues Steve? Look 3/8x10, got anything with a radial pin?

Good looking cues. Love to see the shafts and tapers.

loGiC i have been using 3/10 pins you are right. as of yet i havent used any radial pins but all that takes is the right tap.

Thank you, Steve

hey hemicudas! I wanted to let you know I really appreciate the kind words and posting the pictures.your new cue is on the way today.thanks again Steve

No sir, I thank you, Steve. I can't wait til it gets here. I have had calls from two other jam-up players telling me how well your cues play. Both said they would give you some rep here if they were not presently being sponsored by other cue makers. I thoroughly enjoyed our conversation on the phone. You answered my questions in terms a non-cuemaker could understand.

You make some beautiful cues, Steve but what is important to me is how they hit. Young, Adam and two other good players closer in age to myself are crazy about how your cues hit. I trust Adam and the other guys or I would not have ordered from you. Best of luck to you and your family in the future, Steve,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,sitting in wait,,,,,,,,,,,

Hey! You're up and running!! I meant to ask for you phone number the other night and forgot to do it but I guess I won't have to ask now! The whole freakin world has it!! :D

I played with one of his cues the other day and they have a very nice balance and feel. Good solid hit, pretty finish and imaginative designs. Good bang for the buck.

Plus, Steve is a good guy. .

LoGiC over the next few weeks ill be finishing five or six cues. all of these cues will have a 10 inch taper. but i can change my shaft taper bar for any taper that somebody might want.

i have hit several of these cues and they play great. i'm not too big on what cues look like, but the woodwork looks great as well.

I have been shooting with one of Steve's cues for about a week now. Imo it is the best hitting cue I have ever shot with. It also looks great too. I have shot with a schon for about 10 years and it doesn't even compare to the NUCUE. After playing with Steve's cue I will never use a different cue again. I would like to thank Steve for giving me a chance to use these great cues and represent them. If anybody is interested in purchasing one of these cues you can contact me at 563-599-9138 or Steve at 309-509-2020.

I had the opportunity to play for an hour or so with the tan leather wrap cue this last weekend. I was very impressed with the construction, quality of wood, the playability, and the quality of the work (the veneers were gorgeous). I still can't believe these are the first cues to leave his shop.

BTW the seam in the wrap is greatly exaggerated by the glare of the light in the pics (its subtle in real life)...and IMO that is the only workmanship item open for criticism at this point.

A pretty impressive debut for a cuemaker. I doubt too many cuemakers would dare compare their first product to Steve's. Bravo!!!

Has anyone noticed that many of the compliments are from posters who have just a few posts, 10 at the most as of the time of this post.

Is there a web site yet?

I don't see Steve regularly but as far as I know he does not have a web site yet.

As far as the recommendations coming from mostly new posters I guess my response is that; I know a couple of those new posters personally and can tell you that they are good players that know what they are doing. I know them to be good people that took the time and trouble to sign up and post up to try and help a guy who's making a good product.

I know Steve to be a good guy who is making a good product.

As far as your post im sure you are refering to myself and a few others i assure you Steves product is top notch i have known him for years and we shoot out of the same pool room in Galesburg Il. As far as the posts CraigMac is a respected player if you look at the home page he just won a big tourney in Sterling Il, Gravy Train with 6 posts dont let the post fool you thats Adam Behnke he plays in all the major tourneys in the US and is signed up to play in the World bar table championships thisweekend in Reno more than likely with his new Klapp cue. I do not personally now Hemicudas or Jim S but i have been a lurker on here for a couple years now and folllow there posts and i can say they have alot of knowledge of the game and the products that go along with it. Next time you post maybe you should compliment an up and coming pool maker rather than count posts just my 2 cents.

I'd love to see some pics of a finished taper from you. I personally am falling in love with a longer 'hybrid' taper. The current cue I'm shooting with seems to have about an 11" pro taper then has a gradual increase Euro(billiard?)-taper style. I love it.
