I know there are couple of other thread going on about my friend Eva, but I need to thank all the wonderful people who didn't know Eva but lend a help for the cause.

I first called Andy Gilber the cue maker and then I called the OB Cues.

Royce B. answered the phone and I just asked in this time of recession if there was anything he could spare to help with her benefit ( We are locally trying to raise money to help with her Liver Transplant Operation). Royce didn't hesitate for a second and said he will donate two OB shafts which retail $220.00 a piece!!!

I was shocked how pleasant Royce was to deal with. I was a little embarrassed and maybe was expecting an awkward pause, but as busy as he was he simply said he will help.

Thank you OB CUES!!! I myself play with OB shaft and always heard how much this company has been giving back to the sport and I am a firm believer:thumbup:

I think I will raffle one at the benefit tournament and put one here on AZ for sale forum.

I just thought I share my experience with the AZ Fam;)

It's good to see there are still companies that are willing to help when someone is in need as for the selling of the other shaft wouldn't it make more sense to raffle both of them at the same time?

Yo bro that speak real loud to me! as far as i can tell pool isn't exactly full of people rolling in dough and to see people helping with what they can is huge.

these days times are tough and saying no to people asking for help gets easier with every passing minute!

i hope your fund raising goes well man. lord knows those medical bills ain't no joke!

You will be hard pressed to find another customer oriented business like OBCues. They are the best.

"bro",

My first laugh out loud chuckle of the day! The folks at OB do seem to realize that giving back to the pool world is not only the right thing to do, it is good for business. One thing or another has kept me from dealing with them yet but I had some questions when someone wanted me to turn down one of their shafts and then talked to them about purchasing a few blanks. Very impressed with the gentleman I talked to both times!

Good luck with your fund raising ma'am. I would suggest setting the raffle ticket price high enough to take in several times the value of the shaft when the sale is for a "cause". I don't usually involve myself in raffles but if you offer this shaft in one let me know and I'll be in for a ticket or three.

I own two shafts from them. I have had issues with the older one twice but each time Royce took care of me. I have thought of switching shafts but you cant beat their warranty and the way the shaft "feels". Good luck with the raffle!

Thanks, Royce - that's super nice of you.

I'm seeing a pattern with OB cues. Whenever anyone or anything needs something whether it be pool as a sport or someone in dire need, Royce and his partners run (not walk) to the front of the line to help.

Royce, don't think that doesn't go unnoticed. I'm sure when the forum members are in need of a shaft, they know who to consider first.

OB Cues - They are the best

Yes, I agree that OB Cues are the best----best with their products and best to deal with. Everyone at OB Cues are very customer oriented and you can't ask for anything better.

Sunny, how much are the raffle tickets for the shafts? I'm interested in helping out.

Thanks,
Monica

Royce is great and super nice! OB Cues has done much for pool. Don't forget that they are the main sponsor of the OB Cues Tour in Texas!

OB Cues is making headway in the art of precision cue making and goodwill.

Thanks Royce for being such a good neighbor.

Sorry, all I've been in Chicago all day and just got back. Royce was nice enough to offer to customize the joint for the winner. You can choose from OB1 and OB2 and he will put matching joint for the winner.

I am thinking, I will raffle one off tomorrow at the tourney and one right here "for sale" forum. I will post later about the ticket price:)

Oh, my Gosh!!! I am so tired, I can't sleep. I drove to Chicago 2 am on 26th and drove back to Indy through the Chicago traffic. I should had gotten a room but I didn't want to miss Eva's benefit Tourney/Auction on 27th...

Now my body is paying for it!

Wish us luck. It's going to be more than just a tournament. There will be a tent sat out side of pool room for auctioning off "non pool related items". I will keep you all posted.

Good Luck!

Good luck with the tournament and the benefit! Good luck sleeping too, something I have a wee bit of trouble with also.

We have a good turn out for Eva Finchum Benefit tournament. 58 entried not including friends and family that are here, considering how beautiful the weather is out side, can't complain.

There is food and beer stand outside of pool hall and parking lot is full of people:)
