OB Presents TAR 34: Efren Reyes vs Shane Van Boening All Around

People say APA isn't good for anything. I'm getting a chance to catch an amazing match for a very good price while down there for their tournament. Can't beat that! Now I've got two things to look forward to.

The ultimate would be the winner of this vs Orcollo.

this will be a great game to watch, shane will be the favorite but you cant count efren out. i think that the 8 ball will be close, 10 ball will be shane, one pocket will be efren.

SVB on TAR....wow havent seen that before.

ken

Shane plays on TAR so much because when he plays people watch.

If you can explain to me why as a business owner I would want to stop giving customers what they historically have proven they want I am open to hearing what you have to say.

There are about ten people on earth who draw enough interest to support a TAR match. Every single one of them have played on TAR at some point. Four of them are playing in the next two weeks.

After TAR 33 and 34 are over I will be focusing on getting the VOD system going and those matches will be some of the first up so you and anyone else who misses them will have a chance to watch whenever its convenient.

Good news! I'll be at a wedding that weekend as well, so will unfortunately miss this great matchup. I do intend to watch the Alex vs. Busty this coming weekend though. Definitely looking forward to the VOD too as there are some matches that I'd like to watch again as well as some that I've missed.

Thanks again Justin for putting together a great match!

LOL, I think there might be several but I am sure my picks might not match yours.

I thank TAR for what it does, and hope that sometime, somewhere this can be brought to the main stream (ie TV).

I have mentioned several in the past that I think would be better, but its your business and you need to go with what you think. While I dont buy every TAR podcast I purchase several when I am available with schedule.

My reference is going to tournaments (DCC especially), and seeing how crowded fans are around certain players, and matchups.

Frankly, I didnt deal with Earl and I dont blame you for vowing to never deal with him again. The deal with CJ I understand too. Honestly, I would admit I agree 100% on both of these jerkoffs.

Its easy for someone (like me) to say what you should do and shouldnt do. Please take it as I mean it, I have helped promote pool, write for books and magazines, play, play in tournaments when I had no chance to try to support pool. I am trying to encourage more variety.

SVB seems like a super guy, and easy to deal with, I have been lucky enough to see the best player IMO of all time Efren. Alex and Busty are great too.

The other problem for people like me is that you have probably tried to put together some of the folks Id like to see, but pool has a cast of characters that are like herding cats.

But I cant help myself, I will note a few that I think would make for an interesting match.

1.) McCready and the old Gunslinger Matlock. On a bar box, both sides and fans have offered that they were the best at one time. I know they arent the best now. But like watching the NBA former all-stars it makes for alot of fun.

2.) Allison (or any TOP TOP woman Pro except Jeanette Lee) vs. ANY TOP PRO MAN. CJ (sorry had to mention him) says that she can compete with top men. Jean did it regularly.

3.) YOUNG GUNS. Skyler Woodward vs. Landon Shuffett. I think this would be a dandy. Most have seen Landon, but Skyler has had some impressive places and wins lately.

4.) Varner, Rempe, Hall, hell even Siegal (did I say that), in a match.

I truly wish you and TAR the best of rolls my friend,

Not for nothing, I don't think I'd pay for any of those matches. McCready and Matlock were in their prime before my time. If you want to see a top woman compete against the men, Karen Corr does it regularly. Nothing novel about that. She holds her own but is a definite underdog against the world champion class men. Young guns -- come back to me when they've won something (e.g., Wu Chia Ching). Varner, Rempe, Hall, Sigel (only if he is NOT mic'd) -- interesting, but not something I'd pay ten bucks a day to watch.

All of these are great matches that I'd gladly watch for free. But not pay for.

Now, SVB vs Efren all-around... that's a different story. And I expect that's why Justin is spending his time and money to show this match.
