Is anyone out there playing with the new Ob2 shaft?
I bought one for my dad at the us open and he has been playin with it since. He is a 4 in apa and has been playin more like a 6 since he got the shaft.
I was just curious if anyone else was having such success?

I have an OB 1 on a Buss Titlist conversion and it plays lights out. I haven't tried the OB 2 yet.

i am

im using it.
i like the 11.75 tip and the stiffer hit.

i think its far easier to play with than the ob1 but of course thats just my opinion but everybody else seems to feel the same. either shaft is awesome but the ob2 is different without a doubt, and i like it alot better.

good luck

I guess I will just have to send Royce another old shaft w/the matching ring and try one John. Thanks and Happy New Year.

I have an Ob2 shaft and some TAR dvd's coming from Chad and I can't wait . I have heard a lot of great stuff about the OB2 and we already know how good the TAR video's are !

Thanks Chad !

Ob-2

I played with one for awhile, and I currently use a Predator Z and other than the goofy, ferrul I virtually notice no difference in the two cue. They play very similar. So, I guess my opinion is that it's a pretty nice shaft even though I'm a little partial to predators.

Mine will be in my hands next week.
I can't wait to hit with it!
And I kid you not!

Anyone else have feedback you can share on your OB-2?

I had an OB-1, which I just sold, that weighed less than the average. It was on or about 96 grams. Steve Klein, who happens to have his shop close to OB-1, made the partial for me. I had a Kamui medium tip on it and it was great. The only draw back was the slight spin action you would get on the hit, other than that, it was fine. I had to sell it so Steve could put a new OB-2 on a Klein I just purchased.

I also play with a Predator Z shaft. I figured the OB-2 would be a natural fit for me. I just can't wait to play with it.

Here's a post I made in another thread about the OB-2:

I have an OB-2 and I have to say that it's the Hungarian Nuts!!!! I started playing with a low deflection shaft a few years ago, the 314. I then started playing with a Z shaft exclusively about 1.5 years ago. I loved it to death, never really wanting to play with an Ob-1...and I play on the same team as the owner, and 2 of the shop guys. LOL.

A few months ago, Royce told me that they were coming out with a shaft comparable to the Z shaft. After I tried it, I was amazed!! The hit was softer than the Z, kinda like the Ob-1, but I felt like the deflection was less than the Z.

After I started playing with my OB-2, I felt like I couldn't miss!! English feels almost effortless, and drawing the rock is simply too easy. Bottom line, Royce made one hell of a product!!
